Homura was dragged away by the old man and the nurse because Homura wanted to kill Kirishima. The old man and the nurse may not trust Heroes anymore but it didn't mean they wanted to see a civilian kill one.
"Let me go, old man! I need to kill him!"
"Calm down, Homura-san! At the very least let them talk to each other!"
"What is there to say?!"
"Because if they don't talk, they will never see one another's view!" The nurse was desperate to stop Homura. "I was the same as everyone else! I almost turned her away when I called her a murderer like everyone else! But after hearing her side of things, I realized I was wrong and I can't be in the position to judge her...Homura-san, if you never let them speak, he won't see what I see. Please...I beg of you, let them talk."
Homura didn't think the nurse of all people will say this because she was adamant about turning Ranfa away; Ranfa was wandering on her own until Homura found her. Homura wanted her to go to a safe zone but none of them will take her in since the civilians did not want a 'murderer' to be among them. Homura could have stayed in any safe zone but he chose to wander around with Ranfa because he had been taking care of her since she was eight. Maybe he's not a father figure but he's like a protective big brother to her at best. "I just wanted to protect her...she's always thinking about other people other than herself. I wish she will think about herself for a change. Running away from the safe zone...it's not fair."
Kirishima didn't know what to think right now because it's hard to wrap his head around what's going on right now. "Ranfa...h-how long?"
"The nurse said 4 months."
Kirishima silently took in the information. Ranfa was fighting while pregnant, putting up with everything while pregnant. "Um...back in Christmas..."
"Yeah..." Ranfa was feeling a little awkward about it. Yuuki DID confirm a few times Kirishima and Ranfa did it. And Ranfa never denied it but the others thought it was for comic relief purposes. "Seems like the gift we gave each other ended up coming up with a part 2."
"Eh? Ah...yeah..." Kirishima looked at her, "Y-you should sit down. Here, sit here." He led her to the bed where it's more comfortable. He sat on a chair, still not looking at her because he didn't know how to face her. He thought he'd be angry but after hearing she was pregnant- and knowing it's his...he was happy. "Ranfa-"
"Homura said I should abort it."
"Wha-?!"
"He said we're in a middle of war right now. I won't be able to fight with the villains as long as I have a child inside me. I'm too young for a baby and I am still a kid myself...honestly, he made a lot of good points. Rationally speaking, he is right."
"Ranfa..."
She looked at him, "What do you think I should do, Kirishima?"
"Eh?" What should he say right now? What was the right thing to say? Kirishima did think Homura made a good point. Kirishima was sure if Aizawa or Midnight were here, they will tell Ranfa to abort the baby because she's too important for the upcoming battle and to lose her will cause a big dent on the fire power on the Hero side for sure. They're still young- they could go for another child in the future- but why was he so sure Ranfa will still want to be with him? After the words he hurled at her... "I..." A Hero must put aside their personal feelings in order to protect those who need protecting... The right choice was right there but he couldn't bring himself to say it. It was as if the rational words were stuck inside his throat and it refused to come out because of a spell called 'emotion'. Why couldn't he tell her the right choice to terminate the life in her that everyone will say? Because truth was Kirishima didn't want that. He didn't want the life inside her right now to terminate for the sake of Ranfa to fight in this war. Kirishima didn't know why but he started to cry. He had no rights to cry. It should be Ranfa the one crying right now. He's crying because of the choice in front of them. The choice was painful.
