Chapter 81 - The tribulation before the Christmas party part 2

"This is kinda cool, it feels like we're in the middle of seeing Ace Attorney happening." Ojiro said to Hagakure. 

"Todoroki-kun look so handsome in a suit!" 

"Hagakure, what were you doing near the tree?" Ojiro asked as they're returning from the 5 minute break. 

"I've forgot to put my Secret Santa present for later! It's there nice and safe now! 24 gifts in total~!"

"Ah, Aizawa-sensei put in a present too? I wonder what he put in for his?" They returned to the jury seat.

Court was now in order.

Todoroki decided to fight for Michiyo's liberty. The only way to do this was to sacrifice Mineta and ultimately pin the blame on him. Todoroki didn't want to point fingers but if he had to choose between pointing the fingers at Mineta or protect Michiyo, he will choose Michiyo all the time. 

"The Defense may begin cross examination." Iida gave permission for the trial to continue. 

"Then..." Midoriya needed to ask questions carefully and listen well! 

Michiyo was on the stand and she needed to talk about the origin of the receipt. "That receipt is mine. I got permission from Aizawa-sensei to go out and buy the items I need. The items listed on there are indeed purchased by me." 

"Why did you buy these items?" Midoriya asked Michiyo, "You could have got Yaoyorozu-san to create them for you. You had no reason to go out of your way and buy them-" 

"Objection! Anyone can go out of U.A. as long as they get permission. Aizawa-sensei must have felt Michiyo's reasoning to leave is a valid enough reason to go out. This proves Michiyo did not have bad intention in going out." 

Iida nodded at Todoroki's argument. "Midoriya-kun, Todoroki-kun is right. Michiyo-kun have every rights to go out of U.A.." 

"Geh..." Midoriya could feel he was getting glares from the jury. 'I-I feel like I am bullying Michiyo-san. It's a good thing Ranfa-san isn't here or she would have stabbed me with one of her swords!'

"Um..." Michiyo felt a little awkward since everyone was glaring at Midoriya. "It's not a secret or anything. Just...Momo was busy creating everyone's costumes. You know? She had to consider the size and everything. I feel bad asking her to create strings and bauble caps for me so I went to buy them instead. The strings and bauble caps are for me to make make baubles from my Quirk." Michiyo demonstrated her Quirk and she made a bauble out of diamonds. She felt happy it did not shatter. "The diamond baubles are not shattering so I am very happy."

Lady Justice Momo was touched! She's crying because Michiyo's words touched her heart!

"Yaoyorozu-kun, you're supposed to be impartial." Iida reminded. 

"You try having someone say something out of your consideration, Iida-san...!" Yaoyorozu pushed the blindfold up and she dabbed her tears with a handkerchief she created. "Michiyo-san is an angel...!" 

"What is the ribbon for?" Midoriya asked. 

"I can't tell you that. I can only tell you it is not for Yuuki to use. This is all I am willing to say." 

Iida looked Midoriya, "Midoriya-kun, do you have anything to say?" 

"Of course I do! Michiyo-san, even if you say that- it doesn't change the fact Yuuki DID make use of them!" 

"Objection! Michiyo already explained it is not for Yuuki to use. That means its intended use is not important because that statement meant the ribbon is for something else other than wrapping yourself in."
