Chapter 82 - Under the pros

"Fucking hate it when you bother me so much every single freaking day, asshole!" Bakugou decided to start this off by insulting Yuuki. Why? Because her family invited themselves to spend the New Year together.

"We're next door neighbors so it doesn't matter, Katsuki~."

"Quit trying to sit close to me! I'll kill you!"

While Yuuki and Bakugou were arguing, Todoroki was staring out of the window and thinking about Michiyo. He had to lean his mouth against his palm as his elbow pressed against the side of the bus. He wanted to hide the fact he's smiling because he and Michiyo were dating.

"Todoroki-kun, you look happy." Midoriya noticed Todoroki was trying to hide his smile.

"How did you know?"

"Hahaha, it must be something that made you happy for you to smile like that. you did go home for the New Year."

"Hm. I spent New Year with Mom. Midoriya, were there things you wanted to tell your parents about but you're not sure how to say it?"

"That? There were a lot of All Might merchandise that I wanted as a kid but I know Mom can't afford it so I never told her about it."

"So even Midoriya have things he's unable to tell his parents..."

Midoriya smiled, "Is it something happy you want to share with your Mother? I am sure whatever it is, she will be happy for you."

"You think so?"

"Of course!"

"I see... I think it will be easier if I can tell you and Bakugou first."

"Take your time, Todoroki-kun."

"I don't give a flying fuck about your private matters! Don't share them with me, dammit!" Bakugou snapped at Todoroki. However, he was slightly- just slightly! He was slightly curious what it could be about.

The bus arrived to the destination. Yuuki got off the bus. She's carrying her Hero Costume in her briefcase like the other three. Do you remember? She will do work studies with Bakugou, Todoroki, and Midoriya. "Deku, Todoroki, let's all do our best!"

"Likewise." Midoriya said with a smile.

"Hm." Todoroki just nodded.

"Todoroki, psst! Psst! How come you didn't ask Michiyo to come along?"

"That..." He began to think about what Michiyo said when he offered her to come along with work studies under Endeavor...

"I won't be going to the same place as Shouto." Michiyo said to Todoroki. "I'm going to do my work studies with Heroes who specialize in stealth." She made a diamond flower in front of him, "I don't want to be in the position where I need the people close to me to make decisions for me. I need to be able to think for myself. I can't keep relying on Onee all the time."

Todoroki was surprised by her initiative. "You really have changed, Michiyo."

"Aizawa-sensei said he will recommend a good place for me so you focus on what you must do, Shouto."

"I will. Then...can I still message you?"

"Only when you have the time to do that. Do your best, Shouto." She kissed him on the left cheek when no one was looking.

Todoroki smiled and he patted her on the head. She's always doing her best and so was he.

"Michiyo and I are well." Todoroki said to Yuuki, "Why did you decide to come along?"
