Chapter 103 - Come back to me in one piece

Todoroki was starting to think maybe it was a good idea Michiyo wasn't here with him battling Dabi. He was glad he didn't need to see Dabi's current state. "Michiyo would cry if she sees you like this. Look at what you are doing to yourself! Do you think Michiyo would be happy?!" 

"Ah...Michiyo...right. I need to kill you, kill father...and then protect her from that artificial bitch. Maybe this time I'll kill that thing for real" In Dabi's current state, he was being burnt beyond usual. How he was able to keep himself intact was a true mystery. Perhaps he had become a monster. Dabi didn't mind being a monster because it was worth becoming one if it meant he could get back at his father for not seeing his true potential. It didn't matter if the whole world saw him as a monster, there's always Michiyo who will see him as a human. After he got his revenge, he only needed a future where Michiyo will be there.

"Michiyo wouldn't want to see you like this. All you do is make her cry!" 

"And whose fault is it that I am making her cry?!" 

"You CHOSE this path! She is kind so she will always wait for you forever if she needed to! But you never gave up your goal for her!" 

"And what did you give up for her, Shouto! Don't go around making it sound like I have abandoned her!" 

"But aren't I right about that?! You know she is sad about your villainous path but you chose to keep walking on it! What do you expect her to do?! To continue hopelessly waiting for you to change your way when you will never do that for her?!" Todoroki needed to finish this prolong battle as soon as possible. He had to be the one to put an end to Dabi. 'I could have become him if I was filled to the brim with hate. It's because I met Midoriya, Michiyo, and everyone that I am the way I am. I am truly blessed.' Todoroki won't give up here. He will finish this battle and join everyone. He will protect Michiyo and everyone!

"But don't you feel sorry for me, Shouto?! I was forced to walk this path! Ahahahaha! Way to go blaming the victim when you are a victim of our lousy father too! Ahahahahaha!!!!"

"I can't let you meet Michiyo. Not like this." No matter how many times Todoroki tell her it was not her fault Dabi was like this, Michiyo continued to blame herself. She's always harsh on herself compared to other people. She will blame herself not noticing Dabi needed help rather than blaming Dabi for choosing to be a villain. Todoroki will never say it in front of Michiyo because he knew it will upset her but he always felt Michiyo's kindness was wasted on Dabi.

"Ah...I am not in a good state, huh? Oh well. Michiyo doesn't judge people based on appearance. She accepts me no matter what I appearance I take on. Heh...I bet she was annoyed when I removed the black dye from my hair. She dyed my hair and I was happy about that." Whenever he think about Michiyo dyeing his hair, it made him smile. 

"'Oh well'?! What do you mean by that?!" It enraged Todoroki when Dabi was like this. How was this the person Michiyo fell for? "Michiyo wouldn't want this!"

"Oh?! Then what do you think she would want right now?!" 

"She would want you to stop!" He had to stop Dabi for his father. He had to stop Dabi for his family. He had to stop Dabi for Michiyo. There's a lot riding on his shoulders. Even if he's getting hurt, bleeding in the process, no matter what pain was inflicting onto him, he had to stay standing and put an end to this! "This move is for the sake of beating you, you stupid brother!" 

Fate really had a way to be cruel to Todoroki. Endeavor should be the one to deal with Dabi but someone had to keep All For One at bay. It all fell on Todoroki. It was like a heavy cross for one to carry on the small of their back. 

The area was no longer set ablaze by a sea of blue heat. It was cold, you could see your own breath if you so much as to breathe. Todoroki wondered if this was the end of it. Dabi had come to a complete stop as Todoroki was able to stop him after that single punch connected.
