Michiyo was working at a Beauty Salon on her own. Ginta-san said he will be working at the bakery across the street. He set this sort of thing for Michiyo up so she will be less nervous about being on her own even if she's with new people. Michiyo was doing well on her own; the assistant working in the salon was nice to her and Michiyo was diligently doing as she was told. She cleaned the floor, she helped with washing customer's hair, and she even greeted customers as they walked in.
"You're a really nice girl, Michiyo-chan. I bet you're very popular with the boys."
"Let's go out for lunch in a bit, Michiyo-chan. The cakes at the café is really tasty~."
"Eh? Ah...n-not really..." Because of her shy personality and the way she blushes easily alongside her humble nature, it felt refreshing to befriend her.
"Oi, intern! What are you doing still dilly-dallying inside the shop?!" The manager, however, was a nasty piece of work who bossed everyone about. In front of the customers, she acted all nice and professional, but once the salon doesn't have a single customer, her true nature came out and she will snap at anyone within range. Michiyo was her new target since she's an intern. "Go outside and clean the street in front of our shop! Just because you're training to be a Pro Hero, it doesn't mean you can slack off!"
The hairdressers inside the shop wanted to tell her off but they knew better than not to argue with the manager; last time a hairdresser did that, she was fired on the spot.
Michiyo went to do as she was told. She picked up a broom and she went to work. She's not going to fail this. She's not going to ask Ginta-san for help either because she wanted to do this correctly. Cleaning wasn't a hard job so she quietly went to do it.
"Michiyo, we're all going for lunch. If a customer comes in, sort them out." The manager took all the hairdressers out. She claimed she's in a good mood so she's going to treat everyone lunch and coffee. This was clearly exclusive for her and her workers. Not for interns like Michiyo.
"Have a safe trip." Michiyo diligently went back to work. Some of the girls felt bad for her but they didn't say a thing.
Michiyo hummed a tune of a song she really liked. She's been listening to songs by Hosoya Yoshimasa and she really liked Under the Moon. "Now that I think about it, Tokoyami sounds like him. I ought to use a voice recorder and ask Tokoyami to say something R18-ish~."
Ding-ling, went the front door of the salon. A customer walked in!
"Awawawa~! Welcome to the salon!" She nearly tripped on the way in! She looked up a rather scary looking male.
He had white hair with a few red streaks at its crown that spikes upward around his head, turquoise blue eyes, and he had gnarled, wrinkled, purple skin that cover much of his lower face and neck, all the way down past his collarbone, below his eyes, around his torso, and on his arms and legs.
Many people would find him scary but Michiyo did not discriminate based on appearance and she smiled at him like she would do with her friends.
"Aren't you a little young to run a salon all by yourself?" He asked her.
She stared at him wide-eyed and then she passed him the broom, "Please hold onto this for one minute."
The customer really did hold onto the broom.
She then walked out of the shop and stood with her back against the glass window pane. From the customer's point of view, he could still see her. He saw her got down on her knees and her hands covering her face when she turned to the side.
