Chapter 104 - Synchronicity

Weren't humans supposed to be weak when they're in despair? The Nomu transformed into many of Yuuki's friends, words uttered in their voices were made to demoralize her. Yet, Yuuki fought each transformation without hesitation. She will punch each familiar face the Nomu pull up. She will kick them in the face and knock out a teeth or two if she had to! Yuuki's will to fight did not falter. She will lash out and bite if she had to. The Nomu did not understand why Bakugou's death seem to motivate her to fight more savagely. Each weight in her punches did not falter in strength. If despair could break down human hearts, why was her heart unbreakable?

The Nomu had to remain as Kirishima and use Hardening to shield itself from each of her impacts. She was bleeding from contact but she did not care. She even landed a headbutt because she got bored of hand to hand combat. She knew she will bleed if any part of her body not covered with fur touch the Hardening but she ignored the stinging pain of her skin ripping and tearing; her heart already felt like it's being ripped apart, the pain of skin tearing and letting blood bleed out from the cuts were nothing.

"Unbreakable...? No..." The Nomu did not understand. How could Yuuki still fight on despite the pouring tears? Where did her resolution come from? 

Her body was screaming at her in pain but she ignored it all and she fought like a savage. She cared nothing about how predatory she was acting right now. She just wanted to rip this Nomu apart.

The Nomu didn't even have time to think about who to transform into because Yuuki was crazy enough to actually attack without hesitating. The Nomu decided to grow wings and try to escape and create distance- "Gah-!?" But Yuuki jumped onto its back and she grabbed its wings, ripping it clean off its back! "You're crazy! We'll fall together-" As if it was Icarus falling to his demise after being too close to the sun, the Nomu fell into the shallow water of the island, not making it very far as Yuuki started to drag it back on land. 

Yuuki was not going to let the Nomu go. Dripping wet from head to toe, she could taste salt from the sea as well as her own blood. She punched the Nomu as hard as she could! Again, and again, and again. When her fists were incepted and grabbed, Yuuki resorted to biting the Nomu, using her fangs to crush its forearm.

"Fool! I can regrow my limbs-" 

"Then I'll just rip it off again! I have all the stamina in the world to play with you!"

There was no escape for the Nomu. The transformations were looking off because it had no idea who to turn into to crush Yuuki's will. It was stuck looking like Kirishima because it needed Hardening to lessen the impact of her attacks. The Nomu had to turn into someone else! Anyone will do! It was getting annoyed being stuck on the defensive! 

Yuuki watched the body of the Nomu get bigger and bigger. It was growing faces all over its body. Her classmate's faces were all groaning like zombies, their eyes reminded her of a dead fish and their skin lost the glow of life so it looked like an abomination from a horror movie. "Man, you're ugly." There's no hint of hesitation from Yuuki because nothing was greater than losing Bakugou. The one thing she feared already happened so what's this form going to do to her? 

The Nomu was desperate to beat Yuuki and it resorted to being in this form. The Nomu stumbled though; this transformation could not handle so many different transformations at once. "Kill...kill...you...!" Still, the Nomu still had a mind sound enough to understand it must kill Yuuki. Its arm formed into a flesh-like cannon and it shot a powerful beam at Yuuki! The beam shot out was the same color as Aoyama's laser.

Yuuki focused her aura to her hands. Like a martial artist she had seen in Chinese kung fu movies, she used her hands and her body to divert the beam back to the Nomu! She redirected the beam and it shot a hole through the Nomu's stomach!
