Laci's pov
"Laci this is Kim,my lead guitarist."Chris was introducing me to each member of his band.Kim smiled and shook my hand,"nice to meet you Laci,I have a feeling Chris isn't gonna stop talking about you soon."he said.I blushed,"n-nice to meet you too."i said.Chris pulled me away from Kim,looking embarrassed."T-This is Hiro,my bassist."he introduced me to Hiro,"nice to meet you Laci,hope you're ready for the world of music."he said."nice to meet you too,this is already pretty exciting."i said,"and this is my drummer,Matt."Chris introduced me to the last member in his band."nice to meet you Maci."Matt said,shaking my hand."it's uh,Laci."I corrected him,"doesn't hurt to have a nickname."he said."o-ok then..."I said,"Chris told me that you've never listened to grunge music before."Kim said.

I gulped and nodded,"well at least you listened to our music!"Hiro said."Laci,grunge is more then just music,it's a feeling."Matt said,"what Matt's trying to say is that it's more then just one genre."Chris said.Hiro nodded,"it's Alternative rock,punk rock,noise rock,hardcore punk,heavy metal,and hard rock."Kim listed."I never knew any of this before."I admitted,"it's cause it's new,and Chris is the father."Matt said.Chris jokingly punched him in the arm,"it's not just us doing grunge.that band shirt you're wearing,Nirvana,"Chis pointed at my shirt."they're also doing grunge."he said,"Nirvana released their album Bleach,but we're working on our album right now!"Hiro said.

"You just heard a sneak peek of one of our songs,Loud Love."Kim said,I was amazed with all of this."that's incredible!"I admitted,"welcome to music Laci,there's no turning back."Chris said."Even while we sleep,We will find you-"Matt was cut off by Kim jokingly punching him in the arm,"ow!why the fuck is everyone doing this tonight?what am I a punching bag?"Matt said."relax,it doesn't even hurt that much."Hiro said,Kim and Chris laughed."Anyways,I better head back home:I'll see you guys later."Kim said,"yeah I gotta get my drums back home,can you help me Hiro?"Matt asked."sure thing,I need a ride anyway."Hiro said,"Chris,Laci,need a ride?"Kim asked.I was about to speak but Chris cut me off,"nah it's fine,I'll just walk Laci home."

"Alright then,see you all later."Kim said,Chris put his hand behind my back and led me away from his band."oh geez,I forgot to ask:what's the name of your band?"I asked,feeling a little bit embarrassed that I didn't ask."it's Soundgarden."he replied,"Soundgarden?"i said.he nodded,"I named us after a wind-channeling pipe sculpture titled,A Sound Garden."he explained."thats really interesting."I admitted,he smiled."you think so?"he asked,I nodded.he lightly blushed,"you know...I'm glad we met."he said.I smiled,"me too."i said.we accidentally ended up in Chris's apartment complex,feeling bad for leading me all the way over here Chris offered to let me sleep at his place for the night,which I accepted.

"Here we are,Cornell residence."he joked as he unlocked the front door and opened it.it was a bit messy,I liked it."sorry if it's a bit messy."he apologized as we walked in,"why are you apologizing?this is great!"i said.he seemed confused,"what?"he asked."my friend Brianna is always cleaning up me and other friend Stevie's rooms all the time,even though I keep telling her to stop doing that."I explained,I realized I rambled and immediately felt embarrassed."W-What I'm trying to say is that it-it's fine."i said,he grinned.I looked at him,"what?"I asked."you're really cute when you ramble like that."he said,I blushed.I looked away,"no way."I said.

"I'd never lie to you."he said,lifting my chin up and making me look at him.I couldn't help but to stare into his eyes,they were so magical.I noticed he bit his bottom lip,making me stare at his lips.even his lips were perfect,i gulped."C-Chris?"i said,"yeah Laci?"he said.he sounded just as nervous as me,"This is uh,gonna sound rushed but uh...um..."I trailed off.I was too nervous to ask him one simple thing!"Laci..."he said,I felt like a bubble about pop."C-Can I kiss you?"we both said at the same time,we both blushed.I immediately backed away,"Ugh!this is so frustrating!"I said."what do you mean Laci?"Chris asked in a concerned tone,I sat down on his beanbag chair.

"You seem like such an amazing person Chris,and I can already tell something is forming.but I don't want to rush things,we just met.and yet all I can think about is kissing your beautiful lips and looking into your sky blue eyes!"i rambled,i buried my face into my hands.I felt the chair lower a bit,I lifted my head up and saw Chris sitting next to me,"Laci...everything you just said is exactly what I was thinking about.you're such an amazing girl,and I don't want to pressure you or rush you."he said.he held my hands,I looked at him."Chris...what do we do?"I asked.he hesitated for a moment,"we'll take things slow."he said."we'll get to know each other more,but we can still cuddle and kiss."he added with a grin.

I couldn't help but to grin,I then remembered my friends."I-I should,um,probably call my friends and tell them where I am."I said,"wait."he said.he held my hands,they felt so harm.I looked at him,he bit his lip again."can I kiss you?"he asked,i widened my eyes and blushed.I slowly nodded,he let go of my hands.he gently cupped my cheeks,gently stroking them with his thumbs.I held onto his wrists,not taking my eyes off of him.as his face got close to mine I could feel heat radiating off of his cheeks.then,I felt his lips on mine.like electricity,sparks flew as we kissed.I closed my eyes,submitting to his lips.when we pulled away I was the first one to open my eyes,Chris didn't open his yet.

"What are you doing?"

"Savoring the kiss."

I giggled,"we should do it again,I wanna savor the kiss too."i said.he slowly opened his eyes and grinned,"that sounds like an amazing idea."he said.at that moment I completely forgot about Brianna and Stevie,all of my attention was on Chris.he pulled me and sat me on his lap,I held onto him while he had his hands on my back and thigh.I gently cupped his cheeks,gently stroking them with my thumbs.I leaned forward and gently kissed him,I felt him kissing me back.this time we slowly pulled away,and this time I didn't open my eyes first.like Chris,I savored the kiss."woah..."I whispered when I slowly opened my eyes,Chris still didn't open his eyes though.he instead took a deep breath and exhaled,burying his face into my shoulder.I blushed,"Chris are you falling asleep?"i whispered."yes,"he replied,"and you should to."he suggested.
