"I thought you guys wanted to get married on Christmas?"Brianna asked as she did Laci's hair.it was December 20th,1990:it was basically the week of Christmas,but Laci and Chris did not want to waste any time."we did,but we decided to not wait anymore."Laci replied,"it's almost time."Mona said.she quietly gasped,"oh Laci bear...you look beautiful."she said."mom....you're gonna make me cry."Laci said,she hugged her mom."you look just like your mother on our wedding."she her dad say,she turned and saw him.she smiled,"Chris wanted me to give you this."he said.he handed her a bouquet of her favorite flowers,she smiled."I'm ready."she said confidently,John smiled.
Chris fiddled with his fingers as he stood next to Kim and Matt,his best men."can't believe you put your hair in a ponytail."Matt joked,"gotta look presentable on my wedding."Chris said confidently."says the guy wearing two earrings on one ear."Kim said,"hey for your information Laci picked those for me."Chris said.suddenly,wedding music began to play.everyone that Chris and Laci invited stood up,Chris widened his eyes and blushed when he saw Laci.he began to tear up as he watched her walk down the aisle with her dad,John led Laci to Chris hand handed her to him before sitting down next to Mona."You're the most beautiful woman I've ever seen."he whispered,she smiled as she began to tear up.
"Friends,family,we're gathered here today to unite Christopher John Cornell and Laci Joy Trebell in holy matrimony."Chris and Laci smiled and held hands,"i understand that the couples have written their own vows,and so I'll let them recite them."Kim handed Chris his vows and Stevie handed Laci her vows,Chris cleared his throat."Laci...I won't sugarcoat this:I've felt so lost and depressed before I met you.I thought that...SoundGarden would at least give me something,and for a while I thought...that music would help me out.but the truth is...locking eyes with you...meeting you...it gave me something to live for..."tears were now steaming down Chris and Laci's cheeks,"I'm so grateful for everything Laci...and I'm grateful to be marrying you."he managed to say.
"W-Wow...I don't know how I'm gonna top that."Laci joked,Chris laughed.Laci opened her vows,"Chris,before I met you I was a shy girl who never wanted to do anything.I thought music would be my purpose,but then when my brother left it made me contemplate.after a while,I was too scared to do anything.and-and I'm so happy that Stevie and Brianna convinced me to go to that bar,because if-if I didn't go to that bar I would've never have met you."Laci's hands shook as she closed the vow,Chris grabbed her hands."may I have the rings?"Brianna quickly wiped her tears and handed the rings to Chris and Laci,they slipped the rings on each other's fingers."i now pronounce you husband and wife,you may now-"Chris cupped Laci's cheeks and passionately kissed her.
