Laci's pov
Lily rested comfortably in the baby carrier as I made lunch,i hummed black hole sun as I stirred the soup.it's Lily's favorite song and helps her fall asleep,I can't blame her because it's a really good song.I then heard the front door unlock and open,I put the spoon down and walked out of the kitchen.Chris was taking off his shoes,looking a bit upset."I take it it didn't go well?"I asked,walking towards him.he sighed,"it was fine,but it'll take a while."he replied.I sighed out of relief,"these things do take time,but I'll be with you through ever step."I assured him.he gently cupped my cheeks and rested his forehead against mine,"what would I do without you?"he whispered.
But before I could joke around we heard Lily babble,we looked down and saw her looking at us and reaching for Chris.we both smiled,I gently took her out of her carrier and handed her to Chris,"how's my little girlie doing!"he talked to her.she squealed and clapped her hands,trying to grab his earrings.he held her back,"what is her fascination with my earrings?"he asked.I shrugged,"I better get back to the soup before it burns."I said."alright,I'll watch her."he assured me,I smiled."you're the best babe."he grinned,"no you are."he insisted.I knew we were gonna have a small(but cute)argument about it,so I jokingly rolled my eyes and walked back into the kitchen.
