After having a very long conversation with Layne,we finally managed to convince him to get himself checked into rehab.Jerry promised to take good care of Sadie,Sean and Mike volunteered to get Layne's apartment cleaned up and to watch it while Layne was in rehab.it was 1:00 in the morning when I got home,I was shitting bricks because I promised Laci I'd be home by 11.I unlocked the front door and jumped when I saw Laci on the couch,the lamp that was near her was open.I gulped,"stop talking:now."I sighed."I...I can't lie to you."I walked towards her and crouched down in front of her,"Laci I..."I sighed."I was at Layne's apartment with Eddie,Sean,Mike,and Jerry."I began to explain,she furrowed her eyebrows in anger.
"They wanted me and Eddie to help get Layne out of the apartment and into rehab,Mike wanted your help but I firmly said no.I know,I know,you're capable of handling yourself.but you were stressed out when you were dealing with Kurt as well as Layne,even Eddie didn't want you to come."she looked down,I gently hugged her stomach."I care about you and our children so damn much Laci...I don't know what the fuck I'd do without you guys in my life."I whispered,tearing up.I heard her sigh,I felt her running her fingers through my hair.I looked up and at her with teary eyes,"I appreciate you doing all of that,I am a bit pissed at you for lying but...you did a good thing."she said.
