"Chris we don't have to be here,I'm fine I swear."Laci said,"I just wanna be extra sure."I said.Laci's been feeling nauseous a lot lately,and she puked again last night.it could be a stomach virus or it could be something serious,I just wanted to be sure.she held my hand,I looked at her as my eyes started to water."I...can't lose you..."I whispered,she cupped my cheek."You'll never lose me."she whispered back,I gently cupped her cheek.we then heard the door open,ruining our little moment.I held Laci's hand tightly as the doctor entered the room,"hello mr and mrs Cornell,I'm doctor Helix."he introduced himself to us."hello Doctor."Laci greeted him,"hey doc."I greeted him.
"Let's just get straight to the point doc,is Laci ok?"I asked in a serious tone,"as a matter of fact Mr.Cornell,she's fine.perfectly healthy,it's honestly impressive since you told me she used to smoke."he replied."oh."Laci and I both said,"so what's wrong with me?"she asked.he smiled,"mr and mrs Cornell,you're having a baby."he said.we widened our eyes,not saying a word."I-I'm sorry,w-what did you say?"Laci managed to speak,"You're pregnant mrs.Cornell,and we could probably do an ultrasound right now."he said."Y-Yes,thank you."she said,"I'll schedule one right now,congratulations you two."he said.he then left the room,"Chris?Chris say something,please."she said.
"Looks like...we'll need to find a new house."i said,slowly grinning.she smiled as she began to tear up,"we're gonna be parents."she said."we're gonna be parents!"I cheered,we stood up and hugged each other.I gently touched her stomach,"there's a little Cornell in there,"I laughed."popcorn kernel."i joked,she giggled."don't call our baby a popcorn kernel."she said jokingly,I smiled."I love you."I said,cupping her cheek."I love you too."she said,smiling.
