Laci's pov
"After..."he hesitated for a moment,"look at me."i cupped his cheeks and made him look me in the eyes."you and I have been through a lot,and we've never been afraid to be honest with each other."he held onto my wrists,"you can tell me anything."I reminded him.He took a deep breath and told me about how he called Pete after Lily was born,"I d-didn't expect him to actually come...I don't know how to feel."he fell to his knees and buried his face in his hands."I don't know what to do Laci...please...please tell me what to do."he whispered,I slowly got down on my knees and pulled him in for a hug.
I gently brushed his hair with my hand as he held onto me,burying his face into my shoulder."here's what's you're gonna do."I gently pried him off of me and cupped his cheeks,wiping his tears with my thumb."you're going to meet up with him tomorrow and talk,just the two of you."I instructed,"and if you need me I'm a phone call away."I assured him.
Chris' pov
Pete and I stared at each other silent at we sat at my favorite booth seat at my favorite diner:the same diner the boys and I go to all the time,the same diner I've taken Laci to,the diner I can't wait to take Lily to when she's older."So uh,I take it you come here a lot with Laci?"he asked,"T-The hostess was really nice."he pointed out."yeah,Laci and the guys come here with me all the time."I replied,grabbing a sugar packet.Pete sighed,"I got your message Chris."I opened the packet and spilled it on a spoon."took you long enough."I mumbled,grabbing another sugar packet.
he gulped,"Chris-"I loudly opened the sugar packet and poured it onto the spoon."what."I growled,"I'm sorry."I rolled my eyes."this was stupid,"I threw down the packet and stood up,"I don't know even know why I agreed to this."Pete quickly stood up,"Chris please."Pete begged.I angrily looked at him,he gave me a sad look.My eyes softened,I sighed.I sat back down,"I promised Laci I'd try to talk to you."i said."so let's try."Pete suggested,I didn't say anything.
"I've been listening to Soundgarden's albums,"he admitted,"you're a really good singer Chris."he complimented me.I chuckled,"tell me something I don't know."i joked."you and Laci handle interviews well,I managed to watch the one you did where you took Lily with you."he said,"well Laci's a professional,plus we did promise we'd bring Lily over for our next interview."i explained.
