I don't remember how I got outside, but I rush to my car and climb in. I sit there for a minute to collect myself before starting my car. I know I told Hardin I was going to see Zed, but now I don't know what to do. Do I believe him? Do I believe all those horrible things he said about Zed? That's when I decide that I need to see Zed and give him a chance to explain.

When I get back to my dorm room I try to call Zed, but he doesn't answer. My mind wanders to wondering if he's with Her... I text him instead and ask him to meet me in my room. Five minutes later he replies that he'll head over now.

I let out a deep breath and realize I'm nervous at the possibility that Hardin is right. I've never noticed anything that would lead me to think Zed was cheating on me, but maybe I was just blindly trusting him because he was my best friend before he was my boyfriend. If I confront him, can I trust he would just come clean, or would he try to cover it all up?

I must have been lost in my thoughts because I almost don't hear the knock at the door. I check the mirror to make sure I look okay. I don't want to give away how upset I am. I take a deep breath as I open the door.

"Hey, cutie," Zed says as he pulls me into a hug.

"Hey," I say nervously and reluctantly hug him.

"Is something wrong?" he asks.

"Um, I'm just upset that you had to work on our anniversary," I lie, testing him.

"Yeah, I'm so sorry about that, but no one else could fill in."

"Well, there's nothing you could have done then," I say and try to hide my growing anger.

"I hope you weren't too lonely without me," he says playfully.

I wonder if I should tell him about meeting up with Hardin, but decide against it. I need to know what Zed knows about what Hardin saw. "Have you seen Hardin tonight?"

"Actually, he texted me to tell me he wouldn't be home tonight."

"So, you haven't seen him?"

"No. Why?"

"I just texted him about some Literature homework and he never got back to me," I lie.

"I'm sure he's just hooking up with some chick."

I have to control my mouth because I feel like accusing him of being the one to hook up with some whore like Molly. "Yeah, maybe. So, did you do anything else tonight, besides work?" Or should I say anyone?

"Nope, we were pretty busy." I bet he was.

Okay, so if he didn't see Hardin, he doesn't know either of us know about Molly. He's sticking to his story about working, but Hardin is right. Deep down I know he would never lie to me. I can't think of a single example of Hardin ever lying to me. He's my best friend and he's always there for me.

Just as I'm realizing my horrible mistake of not believing Hardin as he was begging me to trust him, Zed announces that he has to go to the bathroom and he'll be right back. He leaves and as he closes the door behind him I notice he left his phone on my desk.

"I shouldn't look," I say to myself, but like a sign from above, Zed's phone starts buzzing on my desk. I glance down at the screen. There's a message from 'M' telling him that tonight was fun. Molly. It's Molly telling him that she enjoyed shoving her slutty tongue down my cheating boyfriend's throat.

I start to feel nauseous and the room starts to spin. Zed's damn phone starts ringing and the screen says that 'M' is calling. I swipe to answer it, but stay silent.

"Hey, did you find my earring at your place? Because I think it fell out when you had your hands all over me as I was blowing you," Molly says.

Zed walks in as I have his phone to my ear and asks, "What are you doing, Tessa?"

"Shit! Tessa? Is that you?" Molly cackles. "I guess the cat's out of the bag now."

"Tessa?" Zed asks impatiently.

"It's for you. It's your whore," I say as I hand him his phone.

It's your whore," I say as I hand him his phone
