"Time to wake up, sleepyhead!" I hear Hardin say.

"What time is it?" I groan.

"6!"

"In the morning?!"

"Yes," Hardin chuckles.

"Why are you waking me up at 6am?"

"I wanted you to have enough time to get ready before we have to leave."

"This trip must be special if it got you out of bed at 6 in the morning," I say as I pull the covers over my head.

"It is. And it's taking every ounce of self control not to crawl back into this bed with you... But Tess, it's time to get up!" Hardin says as he begins to tickle me.

"Stop! Okay, okay! I'm getting up!" I roar with laughter.

"That's what I thought." Hardin smirks.

I walk over to Hardin and place my hands against his stomach. I slowly slide them up his stomach to his chest and ask seductively, "So, where are we going?"

Hardin stops my hands from moving by grabbing my wrists and replies, "Nice try."

"Come on! You have to give me a hint!"

"Nope! Now go get ready, we leave soon."

"Fine," I huff and leave to go shower.

I rush to get ready in time because Hardin insists on leaving by 7. As I finish getting ready, he brings our bags to the car.

Once we're on the road, I try again to get him to tell me where we're going.

"You know you're very annoying, right?" he chuckles.

"I wouldn't be if you would just tell me."

"You're just lucky I didn't insist on blindfolding you. I mean, I still could. And we could always have some fun with that blindfold later, too." He winks.

"Hardin!" I shriek, but am slightly intrigued by the idea. "Just keep your eyes on the road, mister."

As we continue to drive, I ask Hardin where we're going a few more times and a few more times he calls me annoying, until we finally stop.

"We're going on a ferry?"

"We have to in order to get to where we're going. Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I've just never been on one before."

"Another first with me." He smirks.

"Oh, shush."

"It'll be fun... just like all the other firsts with me," he says with a huge grin.

"I don't think there's enough room on this boat for both you and your ego."

We drive onto the ferry and Hardin seems to enjoy watching me get excited about everything. We even see some whales.

"Look! There they are again!" I shout as I point to the whales. I look over at Hardin, but he's not watching the whales. He's watching me. "What?"

"I love watching you like this. You're beautiful when you're happy and excited. Well, you're always beautiful, but you're smile is so much brighter."

"Hardin..." I blush.

"It's so good to see you like this again," he says and then leans in to kiss me.

We continue to watch the waves from the deck until it's time to get off the ferry.

"You're right. That was fun." I smile.

"Told you! Now, it's only a little farther until we get there. Are you getting excited?"

"Actually, I am. I'm glad you forced me to come," I joke.

"If things go well, I'll be getting you to come a lot."

"Gosh! Hardin!"

"What? You wouldn't like that?"

"I didn't say that..."

"Maybe we'll try out that blindfold after all." He smirks.

I swat at his arm. "Are we almost there?"

"Yes. Just a few more minutes."

We finally pull up to a dirt road. I'm unable to see anything but trees.

"Okay, Tess, close your eyes."

"Seriously?"

"Yes! And no peeking."

"Fine," I groan as I close my eyes.

When Hardin finally stops the car, he gets out, opens my door and helps me out. He covers my eyes with his hands and starts walking with me.

"Please don't let me trip," I beg.

"I won't. I could carry you instead if you'd prefer," he chuckles.

"Just watch where we're going. Okay?"

I hear a door open and Hardin guides me through it. "Okay, are you ready, Tess?"

"Yes!"

He uncovers my eyes and I take in the sight in front of me. He's taken me to the most beautiful cabin I've ever seen.

"And it's all ours for the entire week. What do you think?" he asks.

"It's breathtaking and so romantic! You're right, Hardin. I love it!"

 I love it!"
