I'm staring into her mesmerizing blue-grey eyes and I feel the passion between us ignite. I wasn't sure if she wanted me to kiss her when we had that moment in front of the sink, but I'm sure she does now.

Of course, if I had it my way, we'd be doing more than kissing. I'd grab her and lift her onto this counter. I'd move between those sexy legs, pull off her bottoms and take her.

I pull myself from my perverted thoughts and instead lean in to kiss those luscious lips of hers, when I suddenly hear The Fray start playing. Both Tessa and I are snapped out of our moment and I realize it's her phone's ring tone playing.

"I should get that," Tessa says reluctantly as she pulls herself from our moment and goes to answer her phone.

"Hello?" she answers. "Wait! He what?" she gasps. "Well, what did he want?" Her concern is growing. "Drunk?! Wow, he has some nerve," she sighs. "Yeah, I'll be over soon," she says as she ends the call.

"Tess, what's wrong?" I ask, searching her face for answers.

"That was Steph. She said Zed showed up to our dorm room drunk and he was making a scene. He just keeps the humiliation coming," she sighs.

"Why did you say you'll be over soon?" I say more angrily than I intended.

"Well, I think I owe it to Steph to explain what is going on, since it's affecting her too now."

"Why didn't you just tell her over the phone, then?" I growl.

"I have to go pick up stuff if I'm going to be staying here anyway."

"I can do that for you."

"It's fine, I'll just go. I'll be quick."

"I'll drive you, then."

"That's okay, but thanks."

"Why are you being so damn difficult?!" I shout.

"Excuse me? What has gotten into you?"

"Nothing," I lie.

"Something is bothering you." She's right. Suddenly the thought of Tessa being anywhere near Zed makes my blood boil.

"No... I just don't think it's safe for you to be around Zed."

"I'm not made of glass, Hardin. Besides, Steph said he left."

"Still. I'd feel better if I could drive you and be there with you."

"Hardin! I'm going alone. Why are you acting so...jealous?"

"I'm not, Theresa."

"You only call me that when you're trying to avoid talking about your feelings."

"Okay, maybe I feel irritated that you're leaving me to go see him."

"I told you, he's not there and I'm going to see Steph. I'll be fine."

"Fine," I groan.

"I'll be back in a little bit. Are you sure you still want me to stay here?"

"What? Of course I do! How could you even ask that?"

"Well, you're starting a fight with me over nothing."

"I'm sorry. I just hate the thought of that asshole near you ever again," I look down, embarrassed of how my jealousy over Zed makes me act in front of her.

She walks toward me and grabs both my hands in her little ones and forces me to make eye contact with her. "Thank you for caring about me the way you do," she says as she leans up and kisses my cheek. My skin burns from the feeling of her hot, perfect lips on me.

"I always will." I smile.

"I know. I'm going now. Don't worry," she says as she exits the apartment.

Man, I hate Zed. He just can't stop screwing things up between Tessa and me. First, he asked her out before I had a chance to, now he ruined our first kiss. He better stay the hell away from Tessa, or else I won't be held responsible for what I will do to him.
