"Want the grand tour?" Hardin asks.

"Of course!"

Hardin leads me to all the rooms in the cabin. It's beautiful and massive.

When we get to the bathroom, I can't help but gasp. "Wow, this bathroom is gigantic. Look at that bathtub. I'm definitely taking a bubble bath before we leave here."

"I'm glad you like it," Hardin chuckles.

"You really did a great job, Hardin. This is a surprise I approve of."

"Good," he says as he kisses me. "Now, how about we get some dinner and have a nice romantic night in?"

"Romantic?"

"Yes. I get to be romantic for our anniversary."

"You're romantic a lot more often than that, but whatever you say," I giggle.

"What do you feel like for dinner? I was thinking we could get something delivered."

"You want take-out? Why'd we bring so much food with us then?"

"Well, I don't really feel like cooking after the long drive."

"I could cook us something."

"My vote is for take-out."

"Hey! I know how to cook. My food tastes good," I huff.

"Sure it does, baby."

"You're a jerk. You know that, right?" I ask and Hardin chuckles. Despite the insult, his laugh is the most beautiful sound in the world.

Forty five minutes later the Chinese food we ordered arrives. I change into something more comfortable— one of Hardin's shirts —and we decide to eat in bed.

"I love fortune cookies!" I say as I reach for one. I break it open and grab the fortune inside. Before I can read it Hardin snatches it from my hand.

"It says 'You are the most beautiful girl in the world!'"

"It does not. That's not even a fortune!"

"It does. And there's more. It says 'You're going to marry the most handsome, charming, intelligent guy in the world.'"

"That's too bad. I always that I was going to end up married to you," I giggle. "Now give that to me," I demand as I reach for the fortune in Hardin's hand.

"That's not very nice, Theresa," he says as he holds the fortune higher and out of my reach.

"Give that to me!" I shout and reach higher.

Hardin responds by tickling my sides and I roar with laughter as I collapse onto the bed. "Stop it! I'm laughing too hard and it hurts!" I shout.

Hardin continues to tickle me as he hovers over me. My laughter comes to a halt when I realize he has stopped tickling me and is giving me an intense look. I lock eyes with him and he presses his lips to mine. As he brings my lip between his and playfully moves his tongue against mine, I wrap my legs around his waist and start running my fingers through his soft hair. "Hardin..." I quietly moan.

"Oh, Tess..." Hardin answers as he removes his lips from mine and moves to my neck.

I rake my hands down his back and tighten my legs around him, bringing him closer to me. "Hardin, you feel so good pressed against me."

"Tess..." he says and pulls away from me. "I need to stop right now."

"Why?" I whine.

"Because if I don't stop myself now, I won't be able to."

"Why do we need to stop?" I ask as I unwrap my legs from his waist and he sits next to me.

"There's something that I want to give you."

"Yeah, and I could feel it pressed against me," I groan in disappointment.

"Not that, Tessa... Get your mind out of the gutter," he laughs.

He's right. I can't believe I just said that. "Then what?" I ask, flustered.

He gets up and grabs something from his bag. He walks back over to me and hands me a little box.

"You know, you could have just given this to me after we fooled around." I blush.

"Wow, Tess, what's gotten into you?" he laughs. "Besides, I wanted to make sure I gave this to you on our official one month anniversary."

My heart flutters at his words. I look down at the little box in front of me. "This isn't an engagement ring, right?"

"No," he chuckles, but says in a serious tone, "That will be for our two month anniversary."

"I hope you're joking!"

"Just open it!"

I open the box to reveal a little silver heart.

"It's to go on that charm bracelet you love so much."

I turn it over to see an inscription on the heart charm that reads 'HARDIN'.

"You know, because my heart is yours," he says and he actually starts to blush.

"Hardin... I'm speechless. I didn't think anything could be better than my seahorse charm. This is perfect. Thank you so much! I love you," I say as I kiss him.
