"Time to get up..." a soft voice whispers into my ear.
"I'm always up when I'm around you," I quietly chuckle.
"Perv," Tessa says as she rolls her eyes.
"Maybe I am, but you still love me," I point out and pull her into a kiss.
"Go shower so we can leave soon!"
"I thought I was in charge of this trip," I chuckle.
"I'm sorry. I'm just so excited!" she squeals.
"Did you get any sleep?" I ask as I climb out of bed.
"Some. I really don't know if I'm more excited to see The Fray or to finally see Seattle!"
"I'm just really excited to fuck you in another city."
"Who said you're going to get to do that?" she giggles.
"Well, one way or another I'm getting lucky on this trip. I'd just prefer it to be with you."
"It better be!" she warns.
"That's what I thought." I smirk.
"Go shower!" she yells.
"You know how bossy Tessa turns me on," I laugh.
Tessa starts to pull me out of the bedroom and shoves me into the bathroom. "No more talking! Just shower!"
"You're no fun!" I shout as she walks away.
An hour later, Tessa and I are both ready to leave for Seattle.
"Are you sure you have everything?" I joke as I carry her heavy suitcase to the car.
"I'm pretty sure. I'm just so excited, Hardin! I really love this surprise!"
"I'm glad to hear that, baby. Okay, let's get on the road."
During the drive to Seattle, Tessa has a permanent smile on her face the whole time. I love seeing her this happy again.
"Hardin, do you think we'll have time to explore the city at all?"
"I was hoping we could do that on Sunday before we have to leave."
"Okay!" she chirps.
I continue to drive, until we finally arrive in Seattle. I pull into the parking lot of the fancy hotel I booked for us.
"Wow. This trip must have cost you a fortune." Tessa pouts.
"What good is having money if I can't spend it on you?" I ask as I gently squeeze her thigh.
"I want to pay for some of the trip, too."
"Tess, it's fine."
"Why are you so stubborn?"
"I'm the stubborn one here?" I laugh.
"Shush!" she says as she pushes her finger to my lips.
"Let's check in."
We both climb out of the car. I carry our bags into the hotel and check in at the front desk. After filling out some papers and showing my ID, we're finally handed the keys.
"Okay, here are your keys. I hope you enjoy your stay, Mr. and Mrs. Scott."
I turn around and see Tessa staring at me. "Mrs. Scott?" she asks.
"Um, it must have been a mistake," I lie.
"Hardin, what are you up to?" Tessa asks as she glares at me.
"Nothing." I shrug.
The bellhop takes our luggage for us. As we ride up in the elevator, I swear he's staring at my girl. I clear my throat before saying, "I love you, baby," and then kiss Tessa.
"Here we are, Mr. Scott," he announces when we stop on the top floor.
"Thanks," I mumble. "I can take it from here." I grab our bags and Tessa and I get off the elevator.
"Hardin, you didn't even tip him!" she scolds.
"Staring at your chest was tip enough. He's just lucky I didn't throw him off the roof of this hotel."
"Great start to the trip, Hardin," Tessa says as she rolls her eyes at me.
"Okay, just forget the last five minutes. I want to show you our room." I walk Tessa down the hall to the last room. It has a gold heart frame surrounding the suite number. I open the door and Tessa gasps as she walks in.
The room is gigantic. It has a beautiful view of the city. It has a massive bathtub and a fireplace. The bed is huge and shaped like a heart. There are candles and roses on the nightstand beside the bed.
"Tess, welcome to the honeymoon suite."
"The honeymoon suite? I knew you were up to something!" she says as she gently hits my arm.
"You don't like it?"
"It is gorgeous! But it's all too expensive! And now people think we're married!"
"The bellhop didn't seem to care," I say angrily. "Besides, is pretending to be Mrs. Scott for the weekend that bad?" I ask as I look at her with puppy dog eyes.
"Of course not, Hardin. Thank you for all of this. I love you, Mr. Scott."
"I love you, Mrs. Scott."
