After holding Tessa for half an hour while she traces the ink on my body, I decide to finally break the silence. "Tess, are you okay?"

"Of course. That was amazing."

"No... I mean are you okay after everything that happened today? We never really talked about it."

"I am."

"Are you sure? Last night you were so worried that you might never be able to move on from that night."

"I feel better knowing he can't ever hurt me again and I never have to see him again."

"So, you're never going to think about hurting yourself again, right?"

"I'm not. I promise I'm doing better. I'm so sorry for worrying you."

"I'm always going to worry about you," I say and kiss the top of her head.

"I know," she says as she grabs my hand and laces her fingers through mine.

"I'm so sorry things have been so rough for you, baby. I wish I could protect you from every horrible thing in this world."

Tessa looks up at me and smiles.

"What?" I ask curiously.

"Nothing," she says as she continues to smile.

"Tell me," I gently demand.

"I was just thinking that you'll make a great father."

"You really think so?"

"Of course. I know you'll protect them and do anything for them. I just feel sorry for our daughter. No boy will ever be able to come within a foot of her," she giggles.

I look at Tessa and smile.

"Why are you smiling?" she asks curiously.

"You said 'our daughter'," I say as I continue to smile.

"Oh, did I?"

"Yes." I smirk. "So, you do think about having children with me," I tease.

"It's crossed my mind once or twice," she says as she blushes.

"And how many children will we have?"

"Um, two. A girl and a boy."

"Names?"

"I'm not sure, but I want them to be unique."

"I might have thought of one when I thought you were pregnant," I lightly chuckle.

"Tell me!"

"Emery."

"Emery? I love it! How'd you come up with it?"

"Well, I like that it can be used for either a girl or boy. It also means brave or strength, and I know any child we have will have both those traits after everything we've been through."

"That's really beautiful, Hardin."

"I'm glad you like it. So, maybe we should get to work on creating little Emery?" I ask as I run my fingertips down Tessa's arm.

"Nice try, Mr. Scott!" she laughs.

"Come on, baby... We're already naked, so all I have to do is just slip into you and in nine months we'll have our little Emery."

"Hardin Allen Scott! Stop that right now!"

"I promise, you'll enjoy it." I smirk.

"Do I have to kick you out of the bedroom and lock the door on you again?"

I can't help but let out a laugh, even though I know she's completely serious. "Fine. I'll stop."

"Good."

"I'll try again tomorrow night," I chuckle.

"You're incorrigible!" she laughs.

"I love you so much, Theresa. I can't wait for you to be my wife and give me lots of babies," I say as I kiss her forehead.

"Only if I get to work and you're a stay at home dad," she giggles.

"Deal. And don't worry, baby, I'll make sure to teach them all the curse words I know," I chuckle.

"Okay, that's not going to work!" she giggles.

"All this talk about you being my wife and the mother of my children has really turned me on. How about we go for round two?" I ask as I brush her hair off her face and cup her cheek.

"Nuh-uh! I don't trust you!" she giggles.

"Come on, Tess... Between talking about our future together and knowing you have that sexy tattoo of my name on your body, well, you've got me pretty fucking hard right now."

"The answer is still no!" she giggles.

"I'll remember this next time you're craving me," I half joke.

"I love you, Hardin," she says and gently kisses my chest.

"I love you, my future wife and baby mama."

"That's not going to be your new pet name for me!"

"It sure is! And I won't mind if you call me daddy." I smirk.

"No way!" she laughs as she scrunches her nose.

I fall asleep with a happy and carefree Tessa wrapped in my arms.
