Once we make it to the concert venue, we get out of the car and wait in line. Eventually, we make it to the front of the line, have our tickets scanned and walk into the venue.

"Oh, look! I want to go buy some merchandise," I say excitedly.

"Okay, Tess. Lead the way."

While I'm deciding what to buy, a group of rowdy guys walk by and whistle at me. I can't believe I thought that this night would actually go well. "Hardin, please don't. They're gone now," I say as I grab his arm to stop him from going after them.

"So, did you decide on something yet?" he asks to change the subject.

"Um, yeah. I'm getting this shirt. It looks comfy enough to sleep in," I joke.

"You mean you don't want to wear mine to bed anymore?" He pouts.

"Of course I do. I was only kidding. We should get matching ones!" I tease.

"I like their music because of you, but I'm not going to wear that," he chuckles.

"Oh, you're no fun!" I giggle.

I get to the front of the line and I'm about to pay for the shirt when Hardin hands the guy some money. After we're out of the way of the crowd, I lecture him. "Hardin! I was going to pay for that," I say as I glare at him.

"You can pay me back later." He winks.

"Come on, let's get to our seats," I groan as I roll my eyes at him.

We have our tickets checked and the usher points us in the direction of our seats.

"Wow, I didn't realize we had such amazing seats!" I squeal.

"Only the best for you, baby," Hardin says as he kisses my forehead.

"That's why I'm dating you," I say and pull him down to my lips.

"Do you think we have time to sneak away and go fuck in the bathroom?"

"Hardin! Shhh! Someone could hear you." I blush.

"That's not a no." He smirks.

"No! Now, behave!"

"Are you bossing me around, Theresa?" he chuckles.

"Don't start with that. The concert is about to start."

"Okay, baby," he chuckles. "Let's enjoy tonight."

The Fray comes on stage and the first song they play is one of my favourites. Song after song, I continue to sing and dance to the music. Occasionally, I'll look over at Hardin and see him silently mouthing the words to each song. I can't help but smile to myself. I love him so much.

As the concert draws to a close, I find myself feeling sad that one of the best nights of my life is almost over.

"You okay, Tess?" Hardin asks as he wraps his arm around me.

"Yeah," I reply quietly.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes. Tonight was amazing. Thank you so much."

"I enjoyed it, too."

"I know. I noticed you knew all the words," I giggle.

"Oh, you saw that?" he asks and starts to blush.

"I did and it only made me love you more."

"Tess..." He cups my cheek and gently moves his thumb across it.

"I hope we can do more stuff like this."

"Me, too. I love seeing you happy. You should always be this happy."

"You, too, Hardin."

"I will be as long as I always have you."

His words cause me to have a flashback to my earlier thoughts. When he says things like that, I can't help but wonder if he was planning on proposing at dinner, until I ruined it.

"What are you thinking about, baby?"

"Nothing," I answer as I shake the thought from my head.

"Are you ready to go, or did you want to buy anything else?"

"No, we can go now."

Hardin grabs my hand and leads me out of the venue and back to the car. As I'm putting on my seatbelt, he turns to me and asks, "Are you sure everything is okay?"

"Yes."

"I don't believe you, Theresa."

"It's nothing. I'm just sad the night is over. I had so much fun."

"Who said the night was over?"

"You mean it's not? Where are we going now?" I ask curiously.

"We're going back to the hotel, but I have a surprise for you."

"Another one? Hardin you're spoiling me."

"I love spoiling you and you deserve to be spoiled." He squeezes my thigh, then starts the car and pulls out of the parking lot.

As we drive back to the hotel, I can't help but wonder what else he planned. Maybe it's an anniversary gift. I cannot wait to give him his gift. "Happy three months, Hardin," I say as I turn and smile brightly at him.

"Happy three months, Tessa."
