"Did you really just say what I think you said?" I gasp.
"I did."
"Tessa, I-I love you, so much," I say as I give her multiple kisses all over her mouth, cheeks and nose.
"Hardin!" she giggles.
"You really will marry me?"
"Yes, but not yet. I'm not ready yet."
"It's still the best news ever, Tessa."
"I just know that I will never find with another person what I have found with you."
"And you're positive that I can't convince you to marry me right now? I could have you dressed and walking down the aisle in no time!"
"Stop!" she giggles as she playfully swats at me.
"I'm so happy."
"Me, too."
I place my hand on her cheek and pull her lips to mine. Somehow her kisses taste sweeter now.
I start to think of how Tessa and I celebrated our one month anniversary at the cabin and let out a quiet chuckle.
"What's funny?" Tessa asks.
"I was just thinking about when I gave you the heart charm with my name on it for our one month anniversary and we joked about you getting an engagement ring for our two month anniversary."
"That's right. I guess you got your way, sort of," she giggles.
"I just hope you don't change your mind before I can get you to the altar."
"Hardin, don't think like that. We have all the time in the world. Let's just enjoy being young and in love."
"Okay, Tess," I say as I tuck her hair behind her ear.
"Speaking of our two month anniversary, I'm sorry it turned out so horribly." She frowns.
"It didn't, Tessa."
"You came home to a drunken girlfriend who couldn't stop crying."
"I came home to my future wife, who just happened to be going through a rough time."
"I like the sound of future wife." She smiles.
"Get used to it, because that's what you are," I chuckle. "And Tessa, how could you think our anniversary turned out horribly when you finally agreed to marry me? That's the best gift I could ever ask for."
"Then you're welcome," she giggles.
"And let's not forget that you let me ravish you, just like you promised." I smirk.
"Yeah... That was Heaven."
"It always is when I get to hold you in my arms. And now I know I get to spend the rest of my life in Heaven because you agreed to marry me." I smile. "Theresa Lynn Young agreed to marry me!" I shout.
"Shhh!" Tessa laughs.
"Fine, but only because I'm afraid you'll change your mind if I push."
"Now you're learning. You'll make a great husband someday," she giggles.
"That's not funny, Theresa. Are you saying I'm whipped?" I ask as I start to tickle her.
"Yes!" she screams.
"Apologize!" I demand and continue to tickle her.
"Never!" she roars with laughter.
"Who am I kidding? I am whipped," I chuckle and then nuzzle into her neck.
"Hardin Allen Scott is whipped!" she shouts and starts laughing.
"I'm so fucking whipped," I agree and roughly kiss her.
"Don't worry, I won't tell anyone," she whispers as she runs her thumb along my bottom lip.
"Tess..." I breathe. "I'm completely under your spell."
"And I am so deeply and madly in love with you."
"How do you want to spend the rest of the night, Tess?"
"Like you promised, in your arms with you never letting me go."
"Sounds like Heaven."
