As I slowly open my eyes, I begin thinking about the events that once again led to me waking up wrapped in a blanket on the floor. How does Hardin keep convincing me to spend all night making love to him on the floor? Damn, he's good.

I start to quietly wiggle free from Hardin's grasp, so I can go take a shower.

"Oh, no, you don't," Hardin whispers in my ear as his grasp on me tightens. "Where do you think you're going, Miss Young?"

"To shower. Between the cookie dough I got in my hair and the icing you put everywhere else, I smell like Christmas cookies."

"And I'm in the mood for Christmas cookies," he says against my neck as he starts to kiss me there.

"Didn't you eat enough sugar last night? I'll be surprised if you don't get a cavity." I giggle.

"It'll be worth it." He continues to work his mouth up and down my neck. "You tasted extra delicious last night, baby. We should do that more often," he whispers against my collarbone.

"Hardin..." I breathe. "I... need... to... shower," I moan as Hardin continues to pleasure me.

"Admit it. You liked it." He smirks and tucks my hair behind my ear.

"Maybe a little." I blush.

"I've turned my sweet, innocent Tessa into a very... very... naughty... girl," he says in between placing kisses down my chest.

"Only for you," I moan as Hardin kisses down my stomach. "Hardin... I need to go shower," I say with little conviction.

"The shower will still be there when I'm done." He smirks before dipping his head between my thighs.

"Okay..." I sigh as I officially give in to him.

Within minutes I'm gently pulling on his hair and moaning his name as I come for him. Damn. He's really good.

As I come back to reality, Hardin moves to lie beside me again with a huge grin on his face.

"I hate you. You know that, right?" I ask as I glare at him.

"You might want to tell that to the rest of your body then." He chuckles.

"Jerk." I playfully shove his shoulder.

"Don't be mad at me, baby, okay?"

"Well, I am!" I joke.

"I have something to give you that will make it up to you." He smiles.

"Hardin! We're not having sex now, too!"

"I didn't mean I was going to give you that, Theresa. Get your mind out of the gutter." He chuckles.

"Oh." I turn red with embarrassment. "What did you mean?"

"I'll be right back," he says with a smile before kissing me on the forehead and walking away... completely naked.

I think to myself how I really should have let him have sex with me. Damn. He's really, really good.

Minutes later Hardin returns with a little gift wrapped box. "For you, baby." He hands it to me with a smile.

"Wh-what's this for?"

"It's your Christmas gift."

"No... You already gave me that friendship necklace for Christmas."

"That was Emma's gift. This is yours. I didn't want to give it to you it in front of her. Then yesterday we were so busy with everything, so I forgot to give it to you."

"Oh, thank you." I smile and start to open it. I excitedly finish unwrapping the gift and quickly open the box, eager to see what's inside. I reach in and pull out another charm for my charm bracelet. This time it's a charm of a little ice skate.

"That was the only fun part of the whole trip and I thought you'd enjoy a reminder of the one and only thing I'm not good at, so you can tease me about it forever."

"One and only thing? You and your ego... And I wouldn't say the only fun part. That motel room was pretty interesting." I giggle. "I absolutely love it, Hardin. Thank you so much." I reach over and cup his cheek before kissing him.

"I'm happy you like it, baby. Now, how about that shower?" He smirks.

"Yes... I'll go shower and you can start breakfast!" I giggle and quickly rush to the bathroom before he can follow me.

"But I already had my breakfast!" I hear him call out and start to laugh.

After I shower and we eat breakfast, Hardin and I decide to spend the day reading together on the couch. Hardin has his arm wrapped around my back as I'm leaning into him, holding the book in my hands. He starts to twirl my blonde curls around his fingers, not paying any attention to what I'm saying.

"Hardin, are you okay?"

"Mmm-hmm," he answers absentmindedly.

I turn to face him. "What's going on?"

"I was just thinking about yesterday and what I said about getting married. I didn't mean to pressure you, Tess. It's just... I'm so worried that I'm going to lose you. I know you're too damn good for me and I worry that someday you're going to wake up and realize it, too."

"Hardin, none of that is true. You're a wonderful, caring and loving man. And despite what you think, I'm not perfect and I'm not too good for you. And most importantly, you're not going to lose me."

"I think I'd feel better if I could put a ring on this finger, though," he says as he grabs my hand and gently runs his fingers over my ring finger.

"Hardin..."

"Please, Tess, can we at least set a date?"

I look up at his piercing green eyes and find it hard to dismiss him. Damn. He's extraordinarily good.

"Tess?"

"Okay, Hardin. I'll marry you... after my graduation."

I watch as Hardin opens his mouth to say something, but stops himself. I'm sure waiting that long to be married isn't a good enough answer for him. "Okay, Tess," he finally replies.

"Okay? Really?"

"Obviously I was hoping to marry you sooner, but right now I'm just going to be thankful you gave me a date."

"Thank you for not pushing."

"Don't think I won't try to get that date moved up sooner, though." He quietly chuckles.

"You wouldn't be you if you didn't." I playfully roll my eyes.

"We're going to be so happy, Theresa. I'll make sure you never want for anything. We'll have the most adorable and amazing children. And I'll keep you satisfied in the bedroom, of course." He laughs.

I playfully swat at him. "And here I thought you were going for a tender moment."

"You might have to take some cooking lessons if we're going to make our marriage work, though." He laughs again.

"You big jerk!" I shout and hit him, a little harder than last time.

"Ouch!" He continues to laugh. "I'm going to make a calendar and countdown every single day until you are officially Mrs. Hardin Scott."

I look into his brilliant green eyes for a moment before leaning in to kiss him. "I love you. Let's go to bed." I drag him off the couch and into the bedroom.
