~ Last First Kiss
>>>DANIELLA’S POV
Days passed at huling araw na ng exams, huling araw na rin ng klase for this year.
Our university made it annually to hold a concert on the night of the last school day of the year. It would be participated by the “voices” of our university as well as the bands who were chosen to perform. Even well-known artists in the country were going to perform. Kaya nga hindi ko maintindihan kung anong ginagawa namin dito ngayon sa dressing room.
“On 10, kayo na ha?” sabi sa amin ng event coordinator
Hindi tulad nung school fest na mala-rock band kami, ngayon ay pormadong-pormado kaming apat with our gowns and suits.
Nasa iisang middle-aged style sofa kami nakapwesto. Nakaupo kami ni Monica sa mismong sofa habang ang dalawa naman ay nakaupo sa arm ng sofa. Mala-sessionistas lang ang peg.
“Nakakapanibago lang,” panimula ni Riley. “We’re not holding our instruments tonight tapos pusturang-pustura pa tayo.”
We chuckled and even the crowd laughed.
“For our first song, we all know that you’re familiar with this... Our old-time favorite,” Monica said.
“And DJ Ray’s song of the year,” Phillip added. “All I want for Christmas is you.”
[Now playing: All I want for Christmas is you by Mariah Carey ft. Justin Bieber]
The crowd cheered after Phillip and Monica’s song. Now it’s Riley’s turn.
“This is my first time to sing something like this so please... don’t judge me too quickly,” he smiled. Nagtilian naman ang mga fan girls ni Riley. “This is dedicated to all those students na miss na miss na ang kanilang sariling kama sa bahay at sabik na sabik na sa masasarap na luto ng nanay nila.”
[Now playing: Home by Michael Bublé]
The crowd went wild after Riley’s song. Honestly speaking, ngayon ko lang din siyang narinig kumanta ng ballad and he actually sounded good.
“Daniella,” tawag sa akin ni Phillip on mic. “Do you want to say something first before your song?”
“Yeah,” Riley added. “Like, do you want to dedicate this song to anyone?”
“Well,” I paused. “I want to dedicate this song for all those hearts who are afraid of even trying, those hearts who are afraid of taking chances, for those people who are still living in the what if’s of their lives.”
