~ My Fault
>>>DANIELLA’S POV
Hinatid lang kami ni Mommy hanggang sa may pinto. Sa labas ng gate nakaparada ang kotse ni Matt.
He opened the door for me and I was about to ask him kung bakit yung back seat ang binubuksan niya.
“We’re having a driver today.”
I just shrugged my shoulders at naupo sa backseat. Tumabi rin naman sa akin si Matt with enough space na hindi nagdidikit ang mga balikat namin.
“You look good in your outfit,” sabi niya habang nakatingin sa labas.
Ewan ko ba pero parang nahiya naman ako nang dahil sa sinabi niya.
Naka red, three-fourths blouse ako na stripes at high-waisted shorts na tinernuhan ko ng red, wedge, velcro, sneaker boots.
“Don’t be shy. You really look beautiful.”
And when I turned to him, nakita kong nakatingin na pala siya sa akin.
I felt like my cheeks were burning up...
“Tingnan mo ‘yun oh,” sabi niya habang nakaturo sa may labas ng bintana sa side ko.
I looked at the direction he was pointing to when I felt a head rested on my shoulder.
“What do think you’re doing?”
Nakatingin lang ako sa nakapikit na si Matt. Lalo pa niyang inayos ang pagkakahilig sa balikat ko.
“Hmmm... Just let me stay here, okay?” He said sounding so sleepy. “Kuya was nagging me last night kung anong nangyari sa charity auction. Tapos kanina, maaga rin niya akong ginising para mag-interrogate kung ano raw ibig sabihin nung article sa magazine,” then he yawned.
I chuckled.
“Besides, I was thinking of you all night until I fell asleep... Gosh! You’re so beautiful last night. I think you’re even more beautiful than Aphrodite.”
Nawala ang ngiti ko at napalitan ito ng pakunot ng noo ko. Aalis na sana ako sa pwesto ko nang hawakan ni Matt ang braso ko.
“And I think my dreams were even about you. I already forgot them but I’m pretty sure that you’re in them. In short, it is your fault kaya halos hindi na ako nakatulog kagabi. So let me sleep here for a while, please?”
Napatingin ako sa rearview mirror at napansin kong ngingiti-ngiti si manong driver.
Napailing na lang ako.
“Kung inaantok ka pala, eh bakit ka pa ngayon nagyaya ng date? Bakit hindi ka na lang muna natulog sa inyo? Di hamak namang mas komportableng matulog sa kama kaysa sa balikat ko, di ba?”
“Andami mo namang tanong,” he yawned. “Hindi ba pwedeng gusto lang talaga kitang makasama ngayon?”
I was about to open my mouth but I closed them again. My cheeks are burning up again.
Haist!
Matt, why are you doing this to me?
