-District Nine-

Y/n POV

I know I shouldn't have just left like that, but with what just happened, I couldn't just stand around with my mind racing like this... So what I found in the school, is it really what I thought? But, if not, then how could he know Falahr? According to Seki, Falahr is an ancient martial art invented by the Sages. It's supposed to be able to combat Sole users even for a Normalem if they have mastered it enough. Knowing that Seki was a Sage, it would make sense that he would know it. But, how does Lucifer know it well enough to teach it?

I noticed that I had gone farther than I had intended. I took in the surroundings to find some sort of landmark or sign to tell me where I was. The checklist grew in my head and I didn't like the picture it was painting. Rundown buildings, derelict homes and stores, walls covered in graffiti. There was barely any life. The only livable homes are slum-like. District Nine.

District Nine was a part of Seoul that withered away after Lucifer gained traction. He practically ruined this area with people too scared to stay, and it basically turned into something dangerously close to slums. The apartments weren't completely ruined, some even still fairly nice. But considering the area, the only people who lived here are the ones that don't have a chance.

Above all, This place was dangerous. The main reason? The gang that ran it. A group of teens my age that were backstabbed by Lucifer. Due to the betrayal, they earned the name "Stray Kids". And this is where the problem for me starts. I can see their flag. The flag of District Nine.

Narrator POV

"Dammit... why do you have to wander into places without thinking, Y/n." The same man from the mountainside spoke to himself, the wind blew the cloak that hid the upper half of his face. "I'll just keep low and make sure nothing serious happens."

He stood hidden atop a ragged building overlooking Y/n, who was still gathering himself. A faint white glow emanated from under the hood of his cloak. With a quick glance, he judged a jump and leaped across the street, landing swiftly on a rooftop on the other side to better follow Y/n.

Y/n POV

Before I could gather myself completely, I heard a sound that resembles footsteps over concrete. The sound of small stray pebbles being pressured by someone's weight as their feet pressured the ground under them. I turn in the direction of the noise to see a guy with a bat.

I guess that's the welcoming party. Not sure if I'm excited for this one, but I guess I don't have much of a choice.

Not a moment later, a group of people appeared behind him out of the alley he came from. I knew I couldn't defend myself here, so I only had one option. I took off running. They weren't far behind. My eyes darted around trying to find a place to hide or at least funnel them through to make it easier to defend myself. They located an opening in one of the run-down buildings. That was my best shot.

Here goes nothing.

The corner came and I darted around it. Thankfully, there was a way in, and I took it. I rushed into the corner next to the door. Most of them went straight past the building, and the last few ran into the building. They looked ahead, scanning the opposite end of the room for me as the rest got further and further away. Now was my chance.
