"Today, you will be training with me." Loki began to explain. "So far, you have been doing well with your strength and endurance, getting your body ready for the power you will get from the rest of your training. After all, if you are not prepared when you receive this power, it will destroy you."

This made sense to Y/n. When he had ascended and descended, he could feel it tearing at him from within. Like at any moment, he would split at the seams.

"I have heard that you have ascended, and color me impressed, also descended. So, I'm sure you have felt the pull of this force." Loki reasoned.

"Yes. It was like it was pulling at me. Like a balloon about to burst. Though, at the time, I was more worried about either saving those around me or destroying everything out of anger. But that feeling didn't go away. It was always there, threatening to burst out of me."

"Precisely. Now, there, you should have no issue ascending or descending. It should be second nature to you and there should be no pushback. Your body should be able to handle it." Loki continued to explain. "So now that you have that, I want to show you how you can use your Sole in other ways. It's no secret that fire Soles have the most versatility uses of just about any other."

"Yeah, I have learned to do that on my own and from Seki. He taught me the importance of being able to hide your abilities from your opponent. Especially since I have part of the blue Sole." Y/n agrees.

"Yes, I have talked with Seki, and he let me know what he showed you and what he wasn't able to as he passed away before you were prepared to learn it. Well, I am going to teach you the one thing that will open the doors for you to master this power of yours." Loki's words caught Y/n's attention.

"What is it? What else can I learn?"

"Patience. Now, you seem to know a lot about mine and my brothers' lives. Do you know what I was known for most?" Loki asked.

"Shapeshifting. And Thor is known for his lightning and weapon of choice." Y/n answered confidently.

"Yes. But we both have fire Soles. Thor may be easy enough to know or figure out."

"Yeah, get hot enough, your fire can turn into electricity. It's more a byproduct of a fire Sole, the heat side of it."

"Correct. But, there is another thing you can do with heat. One of the most important aspects of battle is to get into your opponent's head. When you have won the war in their head, you have won the war outside of it. With what I am about to teach you, you can make others see something that is not there."

"Of course, mirages."

"Now watch."

Loki stood before Y/n as the surrounding air began to waver and shift. Loki then began to change into a wolf. Y/n was taken aback. Not only was this not something that he had never thought of, but it wasn't something he thought would work. As far as he knew, mirages were decided by the person seeing it, not by the source. The confusion was obvious on his face. Loki then changed back.

"I don't really understand, I always thought that the image seen in mirages was created in the mind of the person who sees it. How can you make me see what you want me to see?" The confusion was still there.
