Season 2 | Chapter 4

Y/n POV

     I made my way out to meet Jooheon in front of the Royal Hotel. As soon as I walked out, his eyebrows raised and a smirk crawled over his face accompanied by a chuckle.

     "What happened to you?" He asked, his chuckle turning into a small laugh.

     "The girls apparently went shopping for me for the trip." I held my arms out, sort of showing off the outfit. "If I'm being honest though, I don't mind it. It looks good and feels comfortable."

     "Hey, I can't disagree with you there. They nailed a style that works for you. You actually look like you belong in the Royal." He agreed with a chuckle. "Anyway, shall we get going? Our chaperone is Mrs. Woo and I think she has the whole tree stuck up her ass today. Don't wanna get her mad."

     "Ouch. Good roommate, terrible chaperone..." I said with understanding as we began our walk, no one really enjoyed Mrs. Woo's class. She was always seemingly angry about everything and would blow a fuse quick. "Did you happen to look and see what all there was to eat around here? Maybe some recommendations online?"

     "No, I didn't even think about it."

     "Me either. We can just ask some locals, I'm sure they'd know a great place for us to try." I reasoned.

     "Yeah, preferably a nice hole in the wall place, or someplace trendy," Jooheon added.

     We found ourselves at a crosswalk in a group waiting to cross the busy street. We saw a group of what looked like other high school kids. Perfect, they would know a good spot for some nice food. I nudged Jooheon and motioned in their direction.

     "Hey, perfect. No way they don't know a good place to eat."

     We approached them and they ended up being really helpful. They pointed us to a nice ramen place. We thanked them as we crossed the road and began in the direction they pointed us in. The air was chilly as it had just become winter.

     "Good thing they picked out some warm clothes for you," Jooheon remarked.

     "Yeah, they're like four concerned mothers making sure I'm well taken care of." I chuckled in return.

     "Dude, I can smell it!"

     "Right? I think I see it, actually." I pointed in the direction to a sign.

     "Yeah! That's it!"

     We quickened our pace, excited to get some food. Food that, from here, smelled delicious.

     Geez, this place smells so good! It's making my mouth water and my stomach growl. Looking at the people that already have their food, I know it's gonna be good. We sat at the bar of the restaurant and were greeted by one of the chefs behind the counter. He waited patiently for us to decide what we wanted from the menu. We settled on something and he went to work making it for us.

     It didn't take long and we had two giant bowls of ramen in front of us. The steam from the bowl found my nostrils and it made me hungrier. We dug in. Each bite was just as good as the last.
