Season 2 | Chapter 5

-The Souvenir Shop-

Y/n POV

     "Y/n?" I heard Lisa say through the door as she knocked. "Are you awake?"

     I took a deep and tired breath before responding, "Yeah, I'm up. I'll be out in just a moment."

     I sat up in my bed and rubbed my eyes. I looked out the window and allowed myself to get lost in my head. I can't escape that nightmare... Every night like clockwork. I know there's nothing I could do, but I still feel like it's mostly my fault. I sigh and get up from my bed and get dressed. I heard a soft knock on the door as I slipped my shirt on.

     "Come in," I spoke up and the door opened. Chaeyoung walked in, closing the door behind her.

     "Are you okay?" She asked. "You seem bothered and it's not like you to not be on time like last night."

     "I'm okay," I said with a solemn smile.

     "Come on, you can't just tell us that nothing's wrong. We may not have been friends for all that long, but we can tell when you're bothered." She politely scolded. "You had Lisa really worried, you know. You had us all really worried."

     "I know. I'm sorry. I plan to apologize to everyone for it."

     "You don't need to apologize. We're just worried about you, that's all." She approached me and pulled me into a hug. "You're not alone. You have us here for you now. You have friends."

     "Thanks, Chaeyoung," I said as we pulled apart.

     "Please, call me Rosie." She smiled. "There's no need to be so formal, we are friends after all."

     "Okay, Rosie." I chuckled.

     "Good. Get ready, we're gonna go out for lunch, that's why Lisa woke you up." She smiled and left the room.

     I can't tell them about what really happened last night. They wouldn't believe me, and if they did they would definitely report me somewhere. Not saying they're bad people, but their families have status. They couldn't be caught hiding a monster like me. I wouldn't blame them at all, actually. The official story that me and Jooheon came up with was we lost track of time at a market watching some street performers.

     I finished getting ready and walked out into the living area. Like the day before, they set me up with a wardrobe for the day, sending me back into my room to change. Picking out clothes that they thought would best for that day.

     Once again, the clothes they picked out were spot on for me. Everything from the fit to the look. Just all perfect. It was impressive actually. I checked over every inch in the mirror. It actually looks amazing on me. Nothing was too short or too long. You really got one hell of an eye, girls.

     I can hear them listening to an idol group on television. It's weird. Apparently, before all of the Sole business popped up, Idol groups were huge. They were rock stars. Now their popularity is minimal, they make barely enough to survive, and really not many people care past turning on a radio. Now it's all about the King of Sole tournament. We're the rock stars. I walked out into the living room where they whistled and complimented me in the new clothes.
