Y/n POV

I slowly walked along the sidewalk with my hands in my pockets with my head hung as my mind raced. What did I do, Nayeon? Did I say something to hurt you? Did I do something to hurt you? Just when I start to feel a real connection to someone, I find a way to scare them off. Isn't that wonderful? Well, whatever I did to you Nayeon, I'm sorry. You didn't deserve it. I haven't felt anything like this since I lost my parents. My stomach growled and I stopped, then rested my hand on it. I forgot... I haven't eaten yet. I gave all of the food to Nayeon. Maybe I should stop by the convenience store and get something small to eat. I sighed and changed my course from going home to the close by convenience store.

I walked through the door and was greeted by the cashier. I returned the gesture and continued into an aisle, taking in the chips that lined the shelves. I really didn't feel like making anything spectacular to eat, so I decided I would get chips and order something to have delivered to my place. I sighed as I stopped in front of the usual chips I preferred, trying to decide what flavor I wanted.

"Um, hello. Could you help me?" I heard someone trying to get my attention from next to me, but in very bad Korean. "I'm sorry, my Korean isn't that good at all."

It was a white guy about the same height as myself that was wearing shorts, a Hawaiian shirt, and flip flops. I had to read his disheveled expression from his mouth and eyebrows because he was wearing sunglasses. His hair came to his shoulders and was a golden blonde. The guy looked like he was ripped straight from one of those Hawaiian surfer guy movies you see in America.

"It's okay, I can speak English as well." I said with a weak smile in English, his body reacting in a way that seemed like a weight had been lifted from his shoulders.

"Oh, thank god... I really didn't want to sound offensive or anything." He said taking a breath, earning a small chuckle from me.

"Don't worry, it's obvious you're not from Korea." I continued. "What do you need help with?"

"I don't know what kind of chips to get. I have no idea what's good or what any of this says." He gestured to the rack of chips next to us.

"Personally, I like these." I grabbed a bag near us and handed them to him. "They're kimchi stew flavored. "If you like really sweet chips or snacks, try those butter caramel Pringles. I'm not a fan of those ones though."

"Oh man, you're a lifesaver!" He exclaimed with excitement, but his expression changed. "Wow, I'm so rude! The name's Adrian, dude!"

"Y/n. It was nice meeting you." I said as I shook his hand and then grabbed myself a bag of chips.

"Mind if I join you up to the counter?" He asked while shrugging his shoulders.

"Yeah, I'm okay with that," I said as I made my way to the front as he followed. "So, what brought you to Korea?"

"King of Sole tournament, dude." He said happily while he flexed his bicep, I admit I chuckled at how stereotypical he was. "I'm gonna rake in that money all the way back home, yo!"
