~Flashback~

Y/n POV

"You're not that weak, boy, kill the thing behind the bag!" Seki belted as I yelled rearing back my leg and connected my foot to the bag with enough force to send the bag flying off it's mount and landed on the other side of the training room. "That's the way!"

I relaxed my body and heaved a breath. I was then pulled into a hug and noticed that Seki was crying. "Seki..."

"You know I don't have long, y/n. I've had you since you were three, and I want you to know I don't consider you adopted. You are my son. You are my child. I don't mean that in a way to take from your parents." Seki spoke as subtle tears stained his wrinkled cheeks and pulled away from me. "I want you to take what you've learned about blending in. I've already spoken to the person who makes my contacts and he's agreed to help you out. I've enrolled you at the school close by. You will not be in the Sole program because you've mastered yours beyond what anyone will have by the time they die. Besides that, your Sole is pretty easy to spot. You'll be living in my small city house."

~Present Day~

It was later at night and a cool blue light bathed the room from the candles I lit as I allowed myself to sink into the bathwater letting the water engulf my body and come up to just under my nose. The smart tv I mounted in the bathroom, treated for the moisture obviously, was playing the news acting as background noise. The memories poured through my head of the years that Seki raised me. After he pulled me from the fire my Sole had caused, he helped me understand who I was and how dangerous I am, driving the importance of me controlling my abilities. He helped me learn how to keep my emotions in check so that I don't lash out on accident. The act is hard to keep up sometimes, but it's for the better.

It feels like I've been laying in here for a while since the water is feeling cold. I close my eyes and the water begins to boil as it heats up. I heaved a sigh and lifted myself up so my head was completely out of the water and rested it back on the rim of the bathtub. That's when the tv caught my attention.

"It has been reported that an ARU has been spotted in Seoul. He's been spotted using an electric-based Sole, consisting of black lightning. His eyes are confirmed to be crossed. He's killed ten officers and injured three others as well as countless innocent bystanders, including children." The reporter said in a somber tone.

I shot up as my blood began to boil and my heart raced. A scowl twitched on the corner of my mouth and my breathing fluttered. I noticed the water beginning to boil a little out of control, so I closed my eyes and took a deep breath to calm myself down.

"It's not my problem... I could not help them." I said to myself.

I laid back into the water to calm myself further and let my mind wander about the day.
