S4C2: The Viking Brothers

I slept better than I ever had. Ironic considering what awaits me, but that seems to be the power of the Nexum. It's an incredibly soothing place despite what I am here to do. Like magic, the bed pulls you into a deep and restful sleep. The bath relaxes and cleanses you in more than just cleanliness, but seemingly into your soul. The room did everything possible to make your stay peaceful. I fell asleep, not only to the soft bed, but to the soothing sounds of nature.

I laid my toothbrush in its holder before leaving my room. Yusuke had requested I meet him by the Mead Hall. Probably the strangest named thing here, considering most names here seem to be a form of Latin. As he promised, that same blue light from the night before began to guide me.

"Ah, you have arrived," Yusuke said as he allowed his feet to touch the ground from his previous floating position where his legs were crossed.

"I thought I was going to start my training today, why are we meeting at a mead hall?" I asked. The question seemed to entertain Yusuke, and he smiled.

"At the very least, you are meeting your first teachers." The smile stayed.

"Teachers? There's more than one?"

"Two, and I'm sure you are aware of both of them." Yusuke tapped his cane on the floor and the giant doors before us opened.

The sound of heavy pounding came from the crack, which when fully opened revealed a large room full of... Vikings? They were pounding their fists on the tables. Not just a droning pounding, it was a beat. The room looked like what you would imagine a Viking dinner hall would look like.

"What is this?" I asked.

"Lunch," Yusuke replied simply.

They began singing. The door in the back burst open, introducing two mountainous men, both wearing animal fur and had the faces of warrior's faces. They sang along with the rest as they walked. One of the men had sandy red hair that fell to his jaw line and a full beard that was decorated with beads. He had a slight belly, though obviously muscular. Under the animal skin was leather and cloth clothing that, once again, you could imagine being on a Viking.

The other had the same hair color but no facial hair at all, but hair past his shoulders. His clothes were similar, but the main difference being the cloth had more of a green hue.

They walked with authority. They ran the place. Period. Everyone in that room knew it.

"Y/n, I would like you to meet Thor and Loki. The blue Sole users who will be getting you up to speed so you are ready to train with Seki and go into your meditation." Yusuke said.

"Wait, THAT Thor and Loki? Norse gods Thor and Loki?"

"The very ones. You see, there was a wave of Vikings before the ones we know of on Regnum Suum. Those vikings are where the legends of these two came from. They were just blue Sole users like yourself. You see, we allow the blue Sole users to bring their families here to the Nexum. Well, let's just say they insisted that they are all family." He explained. "Follow me."
