Blindfolded, Minjoon dodged punches and kicks from multiple people standing in a circle around him as Sou looked on from atop the statue near the training grounds. As instructed he was deflecting some hits and dodging others completely. The exercise intending to increase his ability to see without his vision. While he was able to read attacks by reading minds with his sight, being able to counter without that same vision is much harder.

While he was able to deal with most of the attacks, many still made it through. This has been his training for the past few weeks. At least for the most part.

"That's enough for now." Shou said as he jumped from the statue.

The circle of people, Minjoon included, turned to Shou and bowed before dispersing. Minjoon stayed behind, making his way toward Shou as he took off his blindfold.

"Everytime I think I'm getting it, I take so many steps back." Minjoon sighs.

"Follow me." Shou spoke calmly, turning and walking toward his home.

Upon entering, Minjoon sat at the low table while Shou made tea. The small earthy home was quiet, the only noises being the sounds of Shou making the tea. A few moments later, Shou was walking into the room with a tray holding a pot and two cups. He laid the tray down and sat on the floor across from Minjoon.

"Are you feeling the exhaustion?" Shou asked, pouring the hot water into the cups.

"That's a light way of putting it..." He responded with a sigh.

"Do you know why that is?" Shou sipped from his cup.

Minjoon looked into his cup. "I don't know. This is something I have always noticed. I thought it was because I was weak, because everyone else seems to have such an easy time using their Soles, and it seems like I get so tired so fast."

"Lucifer never could understand your sole, so of course you don't know." He sipped his tea. "Our Sole is different from everyone else's, Minjoon. As Psion users, it's not our physical strength we have to work on most, it's our mental strength. The stronger the mind, the stronger our Sole. Our ability to fight helps. Our physical strength helps. But at the end of the day, our powers rest inside our mental abilities."

Minjoon looked as though everything in his life had made sense up to this very point. The reason he had always felt stagnant in his abilities. He had been training as hard as he could, but only his body. It made sense to him though. Psion uses a lot of mental capacity, so needing to sharpen his mind was an obvious route. An obvious route he had missed.

"Tell me, Young Minjoon, you know the innate ability we have to be able to read books faster than anyone. Like the information just downloads into our heads, do you not?" Shou interrupted his thoughts.

"Yeah, I did it all the time. I figured it out when doing research about this whole situation in Lucifer's study. There were a ton of books written by the ancients, but so much of the information was written in a language I couldn't understand for the most part. But some of it, I could. I still don't know how." Minjoon sat his tea down.

"What do you know of your parents, Young Minjoon?" He was caught off guard by the question. His parents weren't something he often thought about. His mother hadn't lived very long, at least according to his father.

"Well... Lucifer killed my father when I was younger. And before that my mother died. I don't really remember a funeral, but I was young, so that could just be me." Minjoon spoke thoughtfully and slowly. Making sure he didn't leave any information he knew out.
