Season 2 | Chapter 10

-Warmth of the Sole-

Narrator POV

Minjoon cocked his fist back, Sole charged in that hand.

"Lisa, now!" Lisa ducked under the water immediately as Minjoon was a mere foot from Y/n. "Scorched Earth!"

The small pocket of Blue flame and Sole exploded and sent an incredible wave of blue fire. The wave sent Minjoon straight off the edge of the mountainside. The flames themselves expanded nearly a football field's length from where Y/n stood and lasted a few moments, raging indiscriminately around him and destroying everything in line. Y/n's eyes glowed a vibrant blue as he attempted to control it the best he could. The flames eventually subsided and fizzled out, causing Y/n to stumble.

Y/n steadied himself and reached under the water to pull Lisa back up above the surface. She gasped for air as she stumbled back from being startled. Her breaths were heavy and deep as she attempted to catch it. But, between the cold air, cold water, and stress of the current situation, she found it difficult. While she caught her breath, Y/n retrieved the bag he dropped before standing up to Minjoon.

"I noticed you were having problems getting up, are you okay? Are you able to walk?" Y/n asked as he knelt down in front of her.

"I'm okay, but I really don't think I can walk. I hurt my ankle pretty bad." She looked down to her injured ankle as she spoke.

"Come on, let me help you out of the water and I'll try to get you something to wrap it with." Y/n reached out to her.

"It's okay, it's not broken. But, we should try to find some sort of cover or shelter." Lisa reasoned.

"I remember seeing an indent a little back. It was close to the resting area. I noticed it when we stopped."

"Perfect. But I need some help, Y/n..." She said with a helpless tone.

"Sure, it's no problem. But first let's get the blanket out of my bag to wrap around you so you can get warmed up, even if it's just little." he went through his bag until he found it.

He draped the blanket around her shoulder before she crawled onto his back. They began on their way to the only hope they had for any cover.

Lisa POV

He's so warm. Honestly, a lot of things make so much sense now.

I let my head rest on his shoulder as he carried me, feeling my face flush some.

"So, are you gonna turn me into your father?" He asked calmly.

"Huh? Y/n, what do you mean?" I asked.

"I think we both know, Pranpriya Manoban." He said flatly.

How did he know?! How could he have figured it out?! My family went through so much to hide my identity from everyone, we even went so far as to change my name on all public records.

"How... How did you know?" I asked, feeling the fear run through my veins.

"It wasn't that hard, honestly. I had my suspicions since you began hanging out with me. You always baby that necklace. When you get flustered or scared, it's the first thing you reach for. Then there's your eyes. Remember the day that you girls took me out shopping? You took care of those thugs that were bothering us. The skill you four displayed in that fight was far more than your typical training. Those are the kind of skills you gain training with a Sole. Then, like I mentioned, your eyes were extremely focused. Like, razor-focused." He began to explain.
