-When You're Ready-

Y/n POV

Dammit... My head... Wait... am I?

"Oh my god! Are you okay??" Lisa jumped up from the chair she was sitting in and was immediately next to me.

"Yeah, I'm fine, it's just my head is pounding..." Came my uncertain response. "Yesterday was bizarre, and honestly I'm not sure if any of it was real."

"Jooheon and Minjoon both told me as much as they knew. Do you remember much of what happened to you when you ran out?" She sat down next to me on the bed and caressed the side of my face. She seemed to be checking for any serious damage.

The events from last night ran through my head and I fought with myself on whether I should tell her about it or not. The options were simple. I would like to be honest and tell her what happened, but at the same time, I don't want her to worry about me. She has her own problems she has to worry about. But there's also the possibility that she would see through me as well.

"Come on... Don't lie to me, Y/n. I'm going to worry about you regardless." She reasoned.

She was right. I don't think it mattered if I didn't tell her, she would be worried regardless. That's just how she is as a person. She worries about people she cares about. It's part of the reason I love her so much.

If she's going to worry anyway, I should be honest and just tell her what happened. I need to remember that she knows what's going on in my life, at least she knows about as much as I know, so there's no point in hiding things from her.

I let out a deep sigh and sat up. Starting with what happened with Minjoon and the rest came easily after. Lisa intently listened to every word. Her eyes meaningfully connected with mine. A deafening silence filled the air.

This is another reason I fall for Lisa. She's always genuine. She actually cares and goes out of her way to make sure those around her are okay. Her spot as a member of the M family is obviously earned. She doesn't do it to hurt Sole users. She does it to hold the problem ones accountable and keep Normalems and Sole users alike safe. All as a Normalem herself. She's an amazing person and I'm glad to call her mine.

"You're not too hurt, are you?" She asked softly.

"No, I think I'm okay. Nothing feels like it's broken or anything." I said with a wince. "Just some bruising. I'm gonna be real, Lisa. I don't know how you normalems deal with this kind of abuse..."

She cutely laughed and dug through her purse, pulling out a bottle.

"Here. Us fragile normalem need to use pain medication." She giggled and gave me a few of the pills. "Shirt off, let me see how bad it is."

"Better not try anything funny." I teased.

"Oh, shush, like you would have any problem with it." She rebutted.

Laughing, I did as she asked and carefully pulled my shirt off. Wincing as the soft material ran across the bruised parts of my torso. I let out a small grunt as the pain shot through my body. Lisa carefully lifted my arm up to better see my side where the biggest bruise was, lightly touching areas as I tried to suck up the pain.
