[Season 2 Theme]

Season 2 | Chapter 7

-Tyrant-

Y/n POV

I sat up from my bedding and looked around. Everyone else is still asleep so I curiously reach for my phone to check the time. It was still really early, only about six in the morning. I tiredly grabbed my glasses and made my way to the bathroom. I sleepily stumbled out of the bathroom when I noticed Minjoon sitting out on the wooden walkway that surrounded the entire outside of the building. I rubbed my eyes and walked out and sat down next to him.

"You're up early," I said as I sat down.

"Yeah, I couldn't really sleep too well. Figured I would come out and catch some of the fresh air." he explained.

"Something on your mind?"

"Not really but also yes. You remember how my Sole manifested and worked? Well, one of the more recent things is that it keeps my mind super active. Makes it really hard to sleep sometimes." He laid back so that he was flat on his back, looking up at the ceiling that covered the outside walkway.

"Sounds tiring," I said as I leaned forward where I was sitting.

"You ain't kidding." He laughed. "Well, in any case, when I do sleep I often have nightmares or strange dreams in general. I think it has something to do with my Sole. But I'm not sure how it all connects..."

"Honestly, I wouldn't have any idea. I study Sole a lot in my spare time, and I've never heard or read anything that comes close to yours."

Minjoon let out a heavy sigh. His eyes glued to the ceiling of the awning that floated above us. I let my eyes trail to the sky, which was beautifully clear so the stars were in plain sight. The air was cold, but between the warm pajamas that was provided for us and my Sole, I was perfectly fine. It seemed that he was too.

The sky is beautiful. The stars are perfectly visible and glistening. I can even pick out a few constellations. I haven't seen him in so long. He seems so much different now, but he seems bothered... like he's been hyper-focused on something specific. I just hope he's okay.

The air grew thick between us. It began growing awkward when Minjoon spoke up in a solemn but proud tone.

"You've grown so much, Y/n. You used to be so timid and scared of everything. You were so helpless." He chuckled. "But look at you now. You're still timid, but you have some confidence and far more friends than just me, Jooheon, and Yerim."

"I didn't have much of a choice." I laughed. "You and Yerim both moved on me."

"You could have just as easily stuck with Jooheon." He countered. "I'm proud of you."

I looked over to him, my eyebrows furrowed as I heard him out since I felt the tone moving more serious.

"You're a good guy." He continued. "You always have been. You kept me straight. I still remember when I wanted to steal that pack of cards from that store and you talked me out of it. I've always remembered that. You're probably the best influence anyone could ask for. This group of friends that you've become a part of is lucky to have you."

"Thanks," I said simply.

"So, which one?" He asked with a sly smirk.

"Huh?"
