"Do you think I should send him a text? But then, I don't even know what to say. What if he misunderstood the whole situation. We barely even started dating, I can't believe this is happening already" Joan complained
"I still don't think he would ignore you because of that. It's Saturday, he should text you today, he's probably been busy. Can you just stop overthinking the whole thing?"
"I can't just stop thinking about it. It's really weird that he didn't even send a text"
"I'm going to get breakfast, do you need anything?" Rose asked as she got up to leave
"No I'm fine. I don't have an appetite"
"I can't believe you. To think a day will come that I will actually see you this love struck,I still can't believe it. I can never get used to it, I'm getting you sandwich,that's your favorite. I'm sure you won't be able to resist it"
"Can you get milkshake with it please?"
"Ah now that's the Joan I know. No matter what happens, food should always come first before anything else. I'm proud of you sister"
"Oh my God! He texted me!"
Joan shouted in excitement
"Finally, I told you he was going to"
"He wants us to have dinner together "
"Awwwnn, you should probably get new undies"
"Rose!"
"What?"
"I'm so ashamed of you right now"
"I'm not the one who might get laid in her Mickey Mouse panties" Rose teased
"Mickey what? I don't wear Mickey Mouse panties"
"Well, that's what it looks like to me"
"Don't you come back here. I'll kill you if you do"
*Later at night"
"Oh my God, you look so beautiful" Rose says with an impressive smile
"Thank you. You don't think it's too much?" Joan asked
"Girl, it's your first date with your boyfriend. It's perfect"
"Hmm" Joan nodded in agreement
"Go on, have fun"
"I'll see you when I get back"
Kelvin and Greg had arrived at the hostel entrance already. Joan smiled as she saw Kelvin standing by the car. She hurriedly walked up to him.
"Hi" she said nervously
"Hi, you look amazing" I complimented.
"Thank you" she replied
She looked so beautiful in the black evening dress she wore. She had her hair tied, it was my first time seeing her hair up. The simple silver necklace she wore complimented her neckline.
"Let me introduce you to my assistant. You will be seeing him more from now. This Is Greg, he's been with me for a long time now"
"Hi,nice to meet you" Joan said as she stretched out her hand
"Nice to meet you Miss, I've heard so much about you"
"Oh please, call me Joan and what did you hear about me?"
"Trust me, they are good stuff"
"Oh that's a relief" Joan giggled
"So shall we?" I said as I opened the car door for her to get in
"Thank you" she whispered softly
Greg had made reservations at a Michelin star restaurant not too far to the campus. It was a 25 minutes drive from the campus there.
"I'm sorry about the other day. I didn't mean to leave you there like that" Joan said as she started a conversation with me
"No it's fine, I'm sure you had your reasons. So who was he?"
"Just an old friend. I'll tell you more later"
"Sure. I hope you like the restaurant, Greg took his time with this one. He's really into first impressions kind of thing" I whispered to her
"I'm sure I'll like it" Joan replied back with a smile
I wanted to kiss her so bad, she looked so beautiful like it was my first time seeing her. I smiled unconsciously
"Why are you smiling?" She asked with a curious face
"Nothing, you just look really beautiful tonight"
"You said that the other night too"
"I don't know, I guess I can't get enough of your beauty"
"Who knew you were such a flirt. You shouldn't be a professor"
We both laughed at what she said. Greg looked at me from the front mirror as usual with a smile.
"Do you drive?" Joan asked
"Hmmm,I try" I replied
"Oh God, I can tell you are a bad driver already"
"No I'm not. Do you wanna test me?"
"Can I?
"I'm up for it"
"Okay,how about a ride around town sometime later?"
"You got it"
"Are you sure I shouldn't write my will before then, you know just in case?" Joan teased
"What do you take me for?" I said with a smile
"Just asking"
"We are here boss" Greg announced
