capítulo 12

I sat on my couch in my robe, waiting for Bruno to get out of the shower. I wanted to talk to him about what happened, what he thought about us. As I sat there and sipped my tea, I heard a knock at my door. "Y/n! Open up! It's Rose and Vince, we have something important to show you!"

I rushed to the door and flung it open, letting them inside. "What? What is it? Did something happen?" I asked, a panic rising in my voice.

"Well... yes and no? Anyway, Vincent and I were in his mothers' library doing some research... about... why are you only in a robe? You never wear your robe outside of the bathroom unless you're home alone. Did Bruno leave?"

Rose grabbed my shoulders in a panic; before I could respond, Bruno walked out with a towel around his waist and he was blotting his hair again. Her eyes widened and she back into her husband, pointing at the both of us. "Rose-"

"Did you two fuck before we got here?" She yelled at us. Her husband looked between the three of us, confused. "That is foul behaviour." She said in a whisper. I picked up that she was joking, but the two men in the room did not.

"Honey, we have kids, and Y/n literally walked in on us one time." Vince said, looking down at his, now flustered, wife.

"I-I was joking." She mumbled. "Anyway, Bruno! Go get dressed, you're distracting our Y/n here from focusing." She shooed him into his room and then joined Vincent and I on the couch.

"Anyway, we were in her library and we found a transportation spell book. It's going to take awhile to get everything for it, but we just thought you should know that we've gotten closer to sending Bruno back to his home." Vince said calmly, like he always does. "There's... another thing about it though."

I looked between the two of them. They both seemed a little upset, like they didn't want to tell me about this at all. "What is it? You guys can tell me."

"Any evidence of Bruno being here, any and all of it, will be permanently erased from this world. Sure, he'll still have his memories and whatever, but we won't. You'll forget... everything."

As Rose finished saying this, I glanced at Bruno's door. I looked at my hands, trembling lightly in my lap, then at my two bestfriends. "It's for the better, then, to forget about him. He needs to go back home. Not just for the sake of the movie, but for himself." I put on a sad smile and walked them to the door, "thank you for telling me, I'll let Bruno know his vacation is coming to an end."

I gave them both a hug, and after I shut the door, I tightened my robe and went to Bruno's room. I knocked, and instead of being greeted by a simple 'Hello', he pulled me into a long embrace. His wet curls stuck to my face and I started to cry. "Y/n... I-I heard everything."

I wrapped my arms around him and squeezed him. "I'm sorry Bruno, but you have to go back," I pulled away to look him in the face, "you weren't meant to be here in the first place. It's for the best that you return to your family, to your encanto." His face was twisted to an extremely sad expression, I couldn't bear to see it. I pulled out of his grasp fully and locked myself in my room. 'I... I should just be alone for awhile. Distance myself and let him lose interest in me.'

☆-small time skip-☆

Distancing from someone who never leaves a shared living space was proving very difficult. I couldn't do it any longer. It has only been a week, but I've come to rely on the company of this strange man. I sat at the island, waiting for him to wake up. Once he made his way over, I stood up and grabbed him by the collar, giving him a quick peck on the lips.

"Wha-"

"I've decided that if you don't have much time left here, you might as well make it as memorable as possible!" 'Even if I won't remember it at all.' I thought to myself, not dropping the small smile on my face. I did, however, drop his shirt from my grasp.

"I've missed you, Y/n." He pulled me into a hug.

"I've missed you too, Bruno."
