I flattened my palms along any wrinkles on the skirt of my dress and inspected myself in the mirror. I put a small braid in in my hair to keep it out of my face and put the rest into a basic updo. I sighed and finally exited my room. I knew Rose was already here, I could hear her arguing with Bruno occasionally. 

"Now get out here- OH MY GOSH!" She shouted at the sight of me, placing her hands over her mouth in surprise. "You look so good Y/n!"

"Y/n?" I heard my name being yelled, muffled by the sounds of his bedroom door. It slammed open and our eyes locked, then we checked each other out. I noticed he was wearing the turtleneck and dark green pants again, but this time he had a black crewneck over it.

"Bruno... you look like a librarian."

"What?"

"A hot one though, don't get it twisted." I said with a smile as he made his way over to me.

"You look hot too." He said, clearly not thinking about it before blurting it out. "I-I mean-"

"Awe! You two look so cute, but I wanna change something. Bruno, put this on!" Rose interrupted, tossing him a fashion trench coat that had a similar colour to his pants. He peeled off the crewneck and shrugged into the coat. Rose leaned over to address me while we both watched him. "Doesn't he look good in dark academia?" She asked me.

I just nodded, watching him try to check himself out through the broken TV. "Here, darling, let me." I took a quick photo of him and showed him the photo.

"Bruno! The red of your face goes with the green so well!" Rose teased, poking him on the side. He swatted her hands away and crossed his arms.

"You guys aren't funny. Know what, I'll go in my rauna and regular clothes!"

"And you'll still be the most handsome there." I said, putting my hand on his cheek. I turned to Rose and smiled at her, "can you get some hair stuff from the bathroom, I'm gonna do his hair."

"Oh yes, of course!" She said, immediately going to the bathroom to grab me a couple items. I sat on the couch and motioned for Bruno to sit on the floor in front of me. "Here you are! Pomade for his curls, hair ties, bobby pins, and other things I've seen you use." Rosemary said as she places everything down on a tray beside me on the couch.

"Thank you so much. Are you staying to take pictures then?" I asked, using a brush to pull Bruno's hair back gently.

"You know I am!" She said, shaking her large camera hanging across her body.

I simply smiled and continued doing his hair. I pulled it all back into a wavy ponytail, using the pomade to keep it slicked back. Some of the hair on the underside wasn't grown out enough, so I made a clean section and let it fall. Then, I took some of the mousse and squished it into all of the loose waves to hold them in place for the night. When I was finished, I kissed the crook of his neck and stood. "That's all! You look so handsome. my dear." I said, helping him to stand with me.

"Okay lovebirds, it's picture time!" Rose said, getting her camera in position. I wrapped my arms around his waist and planted my lips on his cheek. A smile formed on my face as he awkwardly placed one of his arms around my waist as well, the other hovering in front of me. I heard the shutter click and I repositioned us.

"Just put your arm here and the other in your pocket." I placed the arm on my waist into a more comfortable area as he put the other in his pants pocket. I kept an arm around his waist and the other on his chest.

"That's all! You two go have fun!" Rose started shooing us out of the door. Bruno made it out of the door ahead of me, but Rose held me back for a moment. "Y/n, Vince thinks that tonight is the night. I'll text you the meeting place when Vince has everything around."

"What? But it's so soon! I'm not... I'm not ready."

"Y/n, if we don't do this we don't know what could happen." She whipped some stray tears from my cheeks and forced a small smile. "But tonight is your night. Enjoy it! Don't worry about anything until you get the text from me. I'll even print out the photos and put them in that album you've been making."

"Thank you, Rosemary. It's on the bed, you might as well take it with you."

"Of course, Y/n. I love you!"

"I love you too." We gave each other a small hug and I left, seeing Bruno waiting for me beside the stairs. I grinned as soon as I saw him and jogged over. "Bruno! Did you wait long."

"Hardly. Let's go?"

"Of course!" We made our way out and I hailed a cab for us to take to place the party is at.
