Thirty six

After that day things went on per usual. To think that becoming a hero would be this boring. Like you don't have anything to do if no ones in trouble. And my jurisdiction is so fucking dull nothing really happens and when something does everyone relies on hawks so im stuck with him and his trifling flirting. My 'parents' came to see me atleast twice a week. Not gonna lie it was a bit awkward at first but after spending more time i kinda liked their company and got excited to see them every time they came.

They were only staying for a while since they have business to attend to back abroad. So i wanted to spend every free time I had with them. And it so happens that today was the day that they were coming over. Sho is at the school so it's only us today. I got up early cleaned more than regularly and made breakfast and lunch expecting their arrival soon. I sat at the dining table waiting and waiting for them.

Hours has passed and nothing. I didn't get a call or anything. I tried calling them about 50 times and no one answered. I texted and texted and no response. So I gave up thinking that they ditched me and went back to the states. But for some reason it didn't felt that way. It felt wrong like they were in trouble somehow. Its now after 5pm this evening so I called the hotel that they stayed in.  When they answered I asked if they have checked out already and they told me no they didn't but that they left in a uber after 8 this morning.

Okay. I admit i was freaking out. Where could they be? Was all I could've thought. So I grabbed the keys and went down to their hotels. As I arrived i jumped out my car storming inside towards the front desk.  "Hey we spoke earlier on the phone on the couple in room 401. Um I'm their daughter and I can't seem to reach them. Can you give me details on their uber driver please?" He seem hesitant at first but folded and gave me it.

"Yeah they went from a new driver  with little to no ratings so far. Their name is DB? I've never heard of him before". Before letting him finish I walked out the door putting pieces together. "That son of bitch Dabi again". As pulling out the hotel property I got a message from mom saying find me here.  "I swear to god he fucking lays a finger on them I'm going to kill him.

Not thinking straight I followed the instructions and went to the address hoping to find them there. I braced myself mentally that trouble will be there. As I pulled up expecting an old crusty abandoned building it was actually a really nice place. A mansion even. I then returned my focus back on finding my parents and rushed into the dark place screaming "MOM! DAD!? Where are you?" Until i heard "SURPRISE!" To see the lights on and a-lot of persons standing around clapping and laughing.

Still not processing what's going up I look up to see a large banner saying HAPPY BIRTHDAY T. Then I realized this was all a freaking birthday party? I let out a sigh of relief knowing that they're okay. But then I realized that I forgot today's my fucking birthday.
