"Ugh!

Cielo's POV

I was pursuing to soothe her feelings despite the fact that she refused to communicate with me and even avoided me after I spotted her carrying the blade earlier with the blood of an unknown. I can see the frightened in her eyes as she keeps telling me that she doesn't want to hurt me yet I know she can't hurt me.

"Please, Elish, open the door," I begged. I knocked continuously for thirty minutes. She tried to drown out her crying with the water, but I could hear her clearly. It was torture for me.

I heard a gentle knock on Elish's bedroom door and opened it to find Jayden holding the bathroom key. He handed it to me without a word and left without asking about Elish.

I knocked again, but her silence was deafening. After countless attempts, I decided to unlock the door; it was clear she wasn't leaving anytime soon. Inside, she was huddled on the shower floor, sobbing uncontrollably while scrubbing her hands.

"Elish?" My voice was gentle, hoping to break through her isolation. When she didn't respond, I moved closer, my hand reaching out. Her sobs intensified as I neared her, a sharp contrast to the silence that had preceded it. My eyes fell on the blood-stained cutter on the floor, still full of blood, I badly wanted to ask her whose blood is that but I didn't want to pressure her.

"Elish, my Sinta?" I whispered softly, her gaze finally meeting mine. Fear still lingered in her eyes. I finally sat beside her then I pulled her into my arms, her head finding comfort on my chest. The shower continued to run, soaking us both.

We sat there for what felt like eternity. Words were unnecessary; our connection was deeper than language. I held her close, my fingers tracing gentle patterns on her shoulder, offering silent reassurance. In that moment, time stood still, and all that mattered was providing her with a safe haven.

Her body, once rigid, began to soften. As if sensing a shift in her emotional landscape, I met her gaze, my heart aching with concern. Her eyes, previously filled with a tempest of emotions, now held a fragile vulnerability. Gently, I extended my hand, a silent offer of support. With hesitant trust, she placed her hand in mine, allowing me to pull her to her feet. The bathroom which still damp from the running shower. I guided her out with her body trembling slightly as she stepped onto the dry carpet of her bedroom.

"Are you hungry? Do you want to eat something?" My voice was gentle as I tried to distract her from whatever was troubling her. Her usual aloofness was replaced by an unexpected intimacy as she moved closer, seeking comfort. It was unlike her to initiate physical closeness, and my heart ached with a mix of concern and confusion.

"M-May... nasaksak ako."Her hushed words left me stunned. I should have foreseen her response, given the blood-soaked cutter she held upon arriving home. Yet, shock continues to grip me, and I'm at a loss for words.

"S-Sino?"I asked.

"The person who plans to...murder you..." Her head tilted away, her gaze lost in nothingness. I couldn't fathom where she was looking. And who the hell would want to kill me? Zyra? No way. "Elish, who wants to kill me?" I demanded.
