"Y/n, dear, would you slow down?" Alastor chuckled as you practically dragged him around another store. It didn't help that you were practically jogging.

"No. Hey look!" You chirped, pulling him over to a rack of debutante looking dresses, all of them beautiful.

Since you asked if Alastor would accompany you on your shopping trip he insisted on bringing you to the finer, more higher class retail stores. You kindly insisted you didn't need something incredibly expensive to be content, but, he wouldn't hear a word of it. "The number on the tag means nothing compared to how priceless you look when you're happy." He said. It honestly felt a little weird. You had no issue paying for your own things and being independent, even in life, everything you had you worked your ass off to get it and avoided asking for favors at all costs. Maybe that was just your pride. So him basically spoiling you like this was strange and unfamiliar. However, you were immensely grateful, and would be sure to express your gratitude later in some form.

Alastor had a number of dresses still on hangers draped over his forearm, and chuckled once more as you pulled another one off of the clothing rack; your eyes practically glowing and mouth agape in awe, it was perfect. The color, the shape and style, it was beautiful.

"Darling?"

You blinked and snapped back from your daze and you looked up at him, then back at the dress. "I... I think we can put the other ones back." Was all you could say. Before you could find the tag to look at how much it would cost, however, Alastor carefully yoinked the dress from your grasp and hung it over his shoulder before pulling you toward the fitting room.

"How does it fit, darling?" You heard him ask on the other side of the door. You stood in front of the many dressing room mirrors, looking at yourself up and down with content. You smiled, and called out over your shoulder still looking at your reflection.

"Come in and have a look!" You turned and unlocked the door before looking back.

You heard the door creek open and in the reflection you saw him peer in from behind, his eyes widened as he marveled at you, silently admiring how you looked. Even if you weren't currently completely dolled up to match the elegance of the gown, you were still beautiful. He stepped inside the fitting room and shut the door behind him, locking it as he stayed entranced by you.

You waved your hand in front of him to bring him out of his stare. He shook his head as if his mind was an etch-a-sketch and his smile softened. "You look absolutely ravishing, my dear. A real knockout! Why, you don't even need to have it hemmed or tailored, almost as if it was made for you."

You blushed and grinned back at him, almost boiling over with excitement. "It really is nice, huh?"

He hummed in confirmation, walking in front of you and holding out his hand for you. "But can you dance in it?"

Your grin softened to a smirk as you took his hand and he lead you in a slow waltz. You chuckled internally at how corny this whole thing was, but, that was just him. And you adored him for it. As malicious and malignant he could be, he was just as charming and doting. The world was a stage, after all. So why skimp on the romanticized dramatics?

You giggled as he spun you, letting your dress sway and move with you as you danced with ease, before pulling you back and dipping you. Your hands caressing his neck and shoulders as he cradled your head and back. You stared into his crimson and ruby red eyes while he gazed back into yours. Genuine smiles on both of your faces.

"I think this ones a keeper." He said, giving you a soft and sweet peck on the cheek as he brought you back up onto your feet. You giggled and looked back over at the clothes you had to change back into.
