"Alastor!!" You shouted.
You watched in horror and dismay as your lover dropped to his knees in front of you. Immediately feeling a sense of heartache well in your chest as you rushed toward him. You crouched down beside him, snaking your arms beneath his as you pulled him closer to you; making sure he didn't fall over as you glared up at your opponent.
"Well, I can't say that's what I meant to do, but, it worked out well anyway." William snickered.
You were seeing red. How dare he. This fucking scum-sucking piece of shit. You wanted to annihilate him. You wanted to crush his bones into a fine dust. You wanted to make him scream for centuries and let Al broadcast it for eons to come. But despite your instincts telling you to lurch forward, and rip this man apart to absolute fucking shreds; disect him molecule by molecule and then serve him as the main course at your wedding... You stood back, like the mate of an alpha wolf you stood by your lover and protected him from further injury.
"I was trying to do you a favor, toots."The bull sneered. "Kids suck the life out of ya, and the money out of your paycheck, say goodbye to your free-time as you knew it. Once you have it you'll understand why I was so cranky."
"Not everyone should be a parent." You argued bitterly. "I'm sure your parents tried, but you're still the cumshot they should have swallowed."
"Such foul language is unbecoming of a lady like yourself."
"Kiss my ass, fucktard." You spat.
"Throw insults all you want, I still won this round. Decisions, decisions, pretty girl." The bull mocked. "Save your little boyfriend? Or stop me?"
You seethed with rage as you begrudgingly watched him saunter out, neither of you breaking eye contact as you let him slip past the door. It twinged a deep seated pain within you to let him get away, but, you took comfort in knowing your friends were out there to help you.
Suddenly the faint scent of iron wafted up your nostrils, and you were immediately drawn back to your lover who crouched beside you. Grappling the handle of the knife in his hand, but unable to muster the strength to pull it out.
"Get... him..." Alastor grunted, pointing in the direction he ran off in.
"Shhhh. Charlie and the others will get him." You defied. You then tore off the sleeve of your shirt and got down on your knees beside him. "Let me help you lay down." You insisted. "I've got you."
He winced, his brows knit closely and his eyes scrunched shut tightly as you helped him move to a resting position against the wall. Once he was seated you used the piece of fabric to help slow the bleeding. Wrapping the cloth around where the knife protruded and applied pressure. He grunted at the sensation, gritting his fangs and curling his hands into tight fists as he allowed you to do this. So tightly he dug his claws into his palms, drawing little droplets of blood.
"Can't you take the knife out-"
"Wish I could, babe." You interrupted. "That knife could be the only thing keeping you from bleeding out right now. Might be sealing an artery or a major vein. If we pull it out, you could bleed out or worse. It'd be a risk we can't afford to take. Hold this," you said, guiding his hand to the fabric that you had placed on his wound. "Keep pressure on it, and leave that fucking knife alone until we get you to a hospital."
"It hurts..." he grimaced, doing as you ordered as you pulled out your phone and called the only person you could think of. He looked down at the wound and then let his eyes lazily roll back, resting his head on the floor as he closed his eyes and panted awkwardly.
"Your lungs filling with blood would be a lot more painful, I promise you that. Don't fucking touch it." You barked, putting your phone to your ear as you waited for the ringing to stop and for somebody to answer the other line.
