"Have I ever told you how beautiful you are?" Alastor asked as he stood behind you, brushing your hair as you sat at your vanity in the dressing room.
"Hmm, not today you haven't." You teased. "Thank you."
"Of course darling, but I'm merely reassuring you of facts."
Your set at the lounge just ended, you were tired but in slightly better spirits than you were before. Alastor met with you in your dressing room to check up on you, and to escort you back to the hotel of course. What a sweetheart, you thought.
"Thanks again, sugar! You did great toni- oh, hi Al!" A familiar voice greeted you as your luscious blonde coworker entered the room, waving at the two of you as you smiled at her.
"Hello dear!" Alastor chirped.
You let out an amused hum. "Thanks hun, I appreciated you sayin' so. So, where's Trish? Still on the nod?" You asked, standing up from your chair and walked over behind the dressing screen to get changed, but not before planting a gentle chaste kiss on Alastor's cheek.
Mimzy squealed over the display of affection. So far she was the only person who knew about your relationship; although, most were smart enough to assume there was something there.
"She can hold her head up but trying to have a conversation is like pulling teeth." She answered.
You rolled your eyes. "Poor soul. Addiction is a bitch. And where's Chloe? Wasn't she supposed to be waitressing too?" You asked as you threw your dress over the top of the screen and adorned something a little more casual and comfortable; a skirt and a loose fitting shirt tucked in at the waist would do.
"She is slumped in the same corner as Trish."
Your eyes widened in disbelief and pity, and you shook your head. "Unreal. Anyways, I asked because I was half tempted to call you up on stage with me, but you were super busy."
"Oh yeah?" She giggled.
"Why that would be a wonderful idea, to perform a duet! After all you both are quote talented, and seeing the two of you together could draw in a big crowd. You'd have this place packed full!" Alastor beamed in his announcers voice, causing you and the blonde to giggle.
"Wouldn't be the first time! Always a blast when we get to perform together, it's been a while since the last time. I miss it." You said warmly as you stepped back out from behind the screen and stood back over with Alastor who placed his arm around you as you approached.
Mimzy blushed and rolled her eyes. "Yeah cause I don't know all that modern music that you do."
"Excuses, excuses." You teased. "You know I listen to many eras and genres, that includes yours and Alastor's generation."
She smirked in defeat. "Alright. Only because I have fun with ya, and I get to pick the song!"
"You got it!" You grinned excitedly, clapping your hands with joy which earned a soft chuckle from the radio demon beside you.
Mimzy cleared her throat before she spoke up again. "I'm starting to feel like the barer of bad news, but that's not why I came in here."
You furrowed a brow and pursed your lips, your joy slowly being replaced by anxious curiosity. You both stayed quite as you waited for her to speak again.
"Val's outside... He wants to talk to you." She said with a heavy sigh.
Immediately, the sound of an ear-piercing static came from Alastor before slowly quieting down; although never really stopping. You sighed and pinched the bridge of your nose in annoyance. "You've gotta be kidding." You muttered under your breath.
