"Fat nuggets, when I get down there, you better not be rolling around in the paint tray again." You called out from the lift you were in as you were working on some finer details of the mural. Looking down and sure enough the piglet was trotting right towards it anyway. "No, nonononono!"

You teleported down and immediately scooped him into your arms. He snorted cutely as he looked up at you wide-eyed. "Don't give me that look you knew exactly what you were doing."

Oink.

"Come on now Charlie doesn't like when you just run around the hotel."

About two weeks had passed since your arrival at the hotel, and they had flown by rather quickly. You felt quite comfortable here, and grew fondly of the new friends you had made here. Husk had warmed up to you more, by that it meant he basically didn't shoo you away when you got bored and decided to bother him at the bar. You could even get along better with Vaggie on a good day, having conversations that didn't result in relentless sarcasm and mud-slinging. Charlie had developed somewhat of a soft spot for you as you did with her, she reminded you a little bit of Mimzy as well as some people you used to know in life; you developed somewhat of a friendship with her. Sharing stories about your life and what earth was like before you died, she shared stories that were centuries old. Even Angel had warmed up to you as well, the two of you engaging in pranks every so often just to entertain yourselves; of course getting Alastor involved in your shenanigans as well from time to time.

As for your relationship with Alastor? Boy oh boy.

It had only grown and blossomed as time went on. The two of you habitually stealing each other after work almost daily; whether it was a night on the town doing only satan knows what, to just lounging in the library and reading together, just coexisting and basking in each other's company. On a couple occasions you'd even convinced him to watch some of your favorite movies with him. He notoriously didn't care for newer age technology like television and the sort, but he made an exception for you if it meant being by your side.

Your feelings for the radio demon only intensified, more than you thought possible. You knew in your little black heart that it was more than a mere crush by this point.

If there was a night you performed he never missed it, watching and listening to you, almost forgetting anyone else was in the room. It made you feel special. In fact, he tried to always make a point to make you feel special; as you did with him. The two of you found over time your conversations became more substantial, showing sides of each other that no one in Hell had ever seen. Your bond growing ever deeper. You weren't sure if Alastor reciprocated any of your romantic feelings, you thought him incapable of doing so based off his track record, you were just glad at the end of the day you could consider him your closest companion. Unbeknownst to you, Alastor felt the exact same way.

He was nervous as all fuck to admit his emotions to you, which aggravated him as he was never the type to feel anxious about anything. But never the less, despite his heart yearning for more, he was content just to be with you.

~~flashback~~

"That's life,"

"That's liiiiife,"

"That's what all the people say~" You and Al were currently seated at Husks bar downstairs, completely trashed and singing- no, belting Frank Sinatra at full volume.

"Can you two keep it down?! Satan forbid anybody gets some sleep!!" Vaggie stormed into the room, beyond fatigued and her usual grey face now red with frustration. Charlie in tow behind her, hair disheveled and rubbing her tired eyes.
