A few days had passed. Your work at the hotel was finished, and had not very much longer before it was time for you to hightail out of the hotel and go back home. It was bittersweet... Charlie was a woman of her word and held up her end of the bargain, to say you were paid well was an understatement. You couldn't thank her enough. She felt the same, in awe at your finished work she could've thanked you a million times over and still wouldn't have felt like she'd said it enough. In fact everyone that had seen it was impressed by your handiwork.

But with a heaviness in your little black heart, you couldn't ignore that you'd be going back to the far side of the pride ring. Away from your new friends.

Away from him.

Sure, he could always visit you when you sang at the lounge. And you promised you'd visit every once in a while. But your heart ached at the thought of his absence. You weren't even gone yet and you felt as though you already missed him. Fortunately, Charlie insisted you stay a few extra days; to relax and unwind after several weeks of working before going back. Truth be told, she was going to miss you too when you left.

Tonight you had been in your room, after a long, busy couple of days you decided a night of pampering yourself was in order. A night of epsom salts, face masks, your favorite moisturizers; the works. You figured you deserved a little self care, especially with Alastor working late this evening with Charlie you had nothing else to do.

You were currently lounging on your couch watching old horror movies, waiting for your toenail polish to dry. You sighed happily to yourself, pleased to have a peaceful evening so far. You were so immersed in the movie that you were watching you almost jumped out of your seat when you heard a knock on your door.

This late? You wondered, getting up and wandering over to the door.

"Ah, I should have known. Hello Alastor." You said warmly, smirking up at him. His eyes widened as he looked at you, his cheeks turning shades of peachy pink and red. You furrowed a brow at his reaction before looking down at yourself, realizing you were still wearing a -rather short and thin- black bathrobe.

"Ope! Hah, sorry." You blushed nervously and snapped your fingers so that you were in cotton shorts and a larger fit t-shirt. Seeing no need to put on a whole outfit on as it was very late in the evening.

Alastor cleared his throat. "Good evening darling. My apologies, is this a bad time?"

"Not at all! I was just watching a movie, please come on in." You smiled and gestured for him to come inside, hearing your phone start to ring as you shut the door behind him.

"Go on, go ahead and make yourself comfortable." You smiled over at him as you walked over to your nightstand where your phone was charging. It was the number from the lounge? You looked back over at Alastor who now stood at the minibar and was fixing himself a drink. "Sorry I've gotta take this."

"Of course my dear." He nodded and meandered over to the love seat and made himself comfortable. You couldn't help but smile at him with heart eyes as you accepted the call, lifting the phone to your ear.

"Hellooo~"

"Y/n?" Mimzy's voice asked from the other line.

"Hey, what's up?" You asked.

"I don't really know how to tell you this, you ain't gonna like it."

Your eyes narrowed in concern, and you sat down on your bed. "Tell me what?"

"I went by your place earlier to check on it, make sure everything was as usual... And, well..."

Your heart sank slightly, preparing for the worst. Alastor had noticed the change in your tone of voice and could feel the tension radiating off of you, he looked back to watch you and listened as you spoke.
