"Do you think she'll be surprised to see me?" You giggled as you walked into the lounge, arm linked around the buck beside you. The comforting aroma of scotch, wine, and the delicate hint of flavored tobacco wafting up your senses; it was good to be back.

"Oh I'm certain! I haven't gotten a chance to inform her yet, why, I don't believe she even knows you awoke unless Charlie told her." He said smiling down at you as he led you to a cozy little booth in one of the darker corners of the lounge. Both of you sitting down, one of the waitresses meandered over and her eyes went wide as she recognized you.

You grinned and held a finger to your lips in a 'shh' motion, as to not alert your dear friend who was singing up on stage. She was lively with excitement as she giggled and jogged over to you- her lanky figure approaching as she sniffled and her eyes darted around a smidge before landing back on you. Poor girl was probably on some form of uppers.

"Hiya Trish." You hummed.

"Y/n?? Is it really you?? Holy shit!!" She whisper- screamed. You giggled and nodded.

"Mimz told me what happened! Are you okay? Did you die??" She asked, her eyes blinking noticeably more than a normal person; likely due to whatever she was on. You blinked owlishly at her rather ridiculous question and nodded slowly.

"Twice." You said sarcastically with a smirk. "But I'm fine now. Listen, don't say a word to Mimz, alright? We wanna surprise her, she doesn't know I'm up on my feet yet."

She nodded yes with a wide grin and pulled out her pen and pad of paper. "You got it hun, now what can I get for yas?"

You and Alastor had ordered your drinks as well as dinner, fortunately a food thing about this place was the kitchen was full of decent line cooks who actually gave a damn about the quality of the food; which, in all honesty, was another reason why you started working there. Good quality food on your breaks and an employee discount? Fuck. Yes.

It worked in your favor seeing as you could kill two birds with one stone, finally have a decent meal and see your best friend. You and Alastor sat through Mimzy's set, who looked and sounded dazzling as always. She always poured her heart and soul into her performances and made it worth while, she truly was an entertainer at heart; and that was one of the reasons you and Al enjoyed watching her. And, of course, to support her. Tonight however you noticed a melancholy mood haunting her. Perhaps a certain kind of sadness looming within her as she thought you were still in a coma. Despite her smile and rosy cheeks and how she danced flawlessly in her forest green dress, her eyes couldn't mask how much she was plagued with worry and anxiety.

"Poor thing..." you whispered quietly to Alastor.

"You noticed that too?"

"Uh huh." You nodded. You sighed somewhat heavily and shirked away your slight condolence as you raised your hand and motioned for Trish to come back over. Another waitress she was talking to looked over and almost spilled her tray of food and drink as she noticed you, you couldn't help but giggle at the sight as Trish came over.

"Whatcha- *sniffle* need, hun?"

"Is Mimz coming back out? Or is she heading on outta here?" You asked as you eyed the now empty stage.

"I'm not sure, but I can fetch her from her dressing room if you'd like."

"Tell her Alastor would like to see her, don't breathe a word about Y/n." Al smiled, his grin wicked but somehow mocking innocence at the same time. You giggled at the sight. You little devil.

Trish nodded and went off in a rush, practically leaving a cloud of dust where she once stood with how fast she moved.

"It's so strange to me..." you started, your fingers mindlessly tracing the grooves on the dark mahogany table in front of you two.
