Alastor stood beside the bed as he looked down at you, a gentle smile across his face as he silently admired you while you slept. Your hair was a bit messy, stray pieces of it lay covering parts of your face. Your lips pouty and parted ever so slightly. Your chest rose and fell, evenly paced and very slowly as you breathed. Every once in a while a soft, barely audible hum or whimper would fall from your lips as you lay there dreaming. You looked so peaceful, so effortlessly beautiful.

"What did I do to deserve you, Y/n?" He whispered quietly as to not wake you.

"To think... out of the billions of people you could have chose from... And darling, a woman of your caliber could have had anyone... You chose me..." he carefully moved the stray locks of hair from out of your face; you whimpered slightly at his touch and he paused until you settled back down and stayed asleep. "I must have done something."

"I must have said something, made a certain joke, made a certain gesture... How fortunate am I to know an angel like you... I know you'll fight me tooth and nail every time I call you that, but you are, my dear. Whether you see it or not. You are my angel, my paradise, my little piece of heaven..." he bent down and gently kissed your forehead, his lips lingering on your skin for a slight moment before he pulled away.

It was something Alastor had done every time he woke up before you did, even if he wasn't leaving the room. He always kissed you on your forehead, your cheek, your shoulder, whatever was easily accessible without waking you from your slumber. He actually wasn't sure if you knew that he did that or not, but he didn't mind. He didn't need the praise for it. He did it simply because he loves and adores you.

Today he would set out into town again and start hunting for a ring, and talk to Charlie about his proposal plan; seeing as he wanted to do it at the hotel.

His plan in mind was sort of a scavenger hunt that would eventually lead you to the roof of the hotel; where you two had spent your first night together, when you had first bonded with each other. It was a little more intricate than that, but he would comb through the finer details later when he talked to Charlie.

His heart skipped a beat as he exited the room, quietly closing the bedroom door behind him and walked down the hall. He smiled to himself, feeling a sense of excitement that was woven with his slight case of nerves. He hoped you would say yes, dear Satan he hoped you'd say yes.

His shadow crept from off the floor in front of him to the wall, floating along side it's master as it walked down the stair.

"Pretty big leap, are you sure you're ready?" His shadow signed.

"I can assure you I've never been more certain in my existence. The only thing that would be comparable to this is how desperately I wanted to become a radio host." Alastor said affirmatively.

"Together forever..."

"Isn't it bliss?" He hummed, throwing a love-sick smile at his shadow as he thought of you. Alastor practically had heart eyes as he made his way out the front door, a lighthearted bounce in his step as he trudged partway through the woods surrounding the manor. "I tell you, my only regret is that I never introduced myself sooner when I had the chance. If I had known what I'd been missing, oof..."

His smile widened as he pulled out his pocket watch, opening it to find that opposite the clock was a small photograph of the two of you together from one of your nights out. You had taken the picture on a polaroid camera, capturing a moment where you both were smiling as you pulled him close; your face adorably squished against his. Splatters of blood had decorated both of your faces almost like crimson freckles across your cheeks. He remembered that night well, it was the first time you two had massacred the streets together. It was a bloodbath that night. In fact, he could see the loose entrails and disembodied limbs in the background behind you two.
