(A/n and disclaimer: good day lovelies! Got a long one for ya; but, we're gonna brush up on some sensitive topics. Today we're gonna shed a little light upon Alastor's past (or at least my rendition of it). So, canonically, all we know about his life at this moment was that he was living in New Orleans until he died in 1933 and was a famous radio host. Everything with his home-life growing up and the domestically abusive environment I made up for the sake of the story. That being said, Alastor is mixed-race Creole. That is confirmed fact and I won't pretend that he isn't . And this took place in the early 1900s when a lot of peoples views and the general consensus was very fucked up. I also want to make it very clear that I do not share nor agree with these hateful and ignorant views. I'll try not to dwell on it too much because I don't want to trigger anybody, but, I needed to address that. *deep inhale* okay? Alright.)

"Al, where are you taking me?" You giggled as you kept your eyes closed, despite him covering them with his hands as he walked you through the wooded backyard.
"Nowhere far, dear." He hummed.
"That doesn't answer my question."
"I wasn't trying to! It's called a surprise." He snickered, you couldn't help but smile.
Another day had passed and Alastor had a little surprise for you.
You didn't know it, you assumed he was just working late at the hotel again. Little did you know he had actually been looming around the manor for couple hours getting everything ready for you. It was somewhat funny to him, he was expecting you to ask questions when he walked in the door; where he had been, what took so long, but instead he found you immersed in a card game with his shadow that had stayed behind with you.
It was getting closer to evening now, Hell's pentagram was slowly fading as the sky grew dark. Hues of red and vague purples cascaded rather beautifully through the trees in the land around his manor. He was currently leading you down a narrow path, guiding you carefully so you didn't trip on any twigs or tree roots that peaked out of the ground.
"Are we there yet?" You asked.
He chuckled. "No."
"How about now?"
"No."
"Now?"
"Yes."
"Really??"
"No." He wheezed, amused with you and smiling wider. "Soon, just a few more steps."
"The suspense is killing me, Al."
"I don't know how to tell you this, but, you're already dead my dear. So I'm unclear as to how this possibly could be killing you."
You giggled as you felt him gently halt you in your walk, hands still covering your eyes. "I think you're around me too much. You're turning into a bit of a smartass."
He laughed softly and kissed the back of your head as he stayed standing behind you. "Well it's not my fault you're so impressionable, darling. Are you ready?"
You nodded excitedly and took in a quiet deep breath. He removed his hands and placed them on your sides, hugging you from behind as you opened your eyes. Your jaw dropped as you saw the scene in front of you.
