I was unable to protect you anything or anyone and I hope you can forgive me for what I have done. I left this diory for you and I hope you will read this someday but I know you will never forgive me. Ash, I understand if you don't want to read this or if you are forced to read this but I hope you are never forced to read this. I do love you so much Ash and I will never stop loving you, no matter what. This will be my last entropy but there are more diorys hidden in different dimensions, there are clews in these diorys that will give you the location of the diorys. Good luck Ash, I hope you make your own path.
The next day, Matt pulled the carriage over to the side of the road and looked over at Ash. Her eyes were closed as she slept from exhaustion, Ash’s eyes fluttered left and right like she was dreaming. She was sound asleep with her head leaning to the side of her shoulder as she sat on the carriage. Matt smiled at Ash as he quietly hopped out of the side of the carriage and walked into the bushes on Ash’s side of the carriage. After he was seven feet away, he relieved himself by a large tree filled with cherry blossoms. The silent wind blew through the field of dried grass and weeds surrounding the prairie field surrounding him. Matt quickly finished his business and started to walk back to the carriage. Ash slowly woke up to the sound of rustling of the dried grass and the sound of footsteps towards her from behind the carriage. Ash quickly sat up and popped her neck from sleeping in a weird way, she quickly looked around for Matt.
Once Ash spotted Matt in the small prairie field, she yelled in fear, “Matt, there is someone else here! I can hear them walking around!”
Matt quickly stopped walking, he stood still in silence and looked around for someone. After looking at his surroundings, he saw someone walking towards him from the dirt road. The warm breeze immediately stopped blowing around them in an instant as the man stopped three feet from him. Suddenly, all the animals that surrounded them took off in an instant, birds flew away in fear and the sound of all the animals on the ground running away in every direction. Ash looked around in fear of what was happening around her, she only saw the beautiful lands and plants surrounding her. Suddenly, there was the sound of twigs snapping behind her, Ash and Matt quickly snapped their heads towards the direction where the sound was coming from. The man standing three feet from him smiled widely with a duvius grin and Matt quickly looked back at him as he curled his knuckles in anger. His rotten, yellow teeth showed as he smiled and at that moment, Matt felt disgusted. Matt quickly noticed that the man was wearing a brown, leather coat and blue jeans. He wore black boots with dried blood and a light brown dirt.
The man said with a malicious look in his eyes, his voice cracking like he had smoked for centuries and never stopped, “Nice to see you again Matt, It’s been a while. How long has it been? Two… Three years?”
Ash quickly looked over at Matt and saw that he was talking to someone, she stayed silent as she waited patiently for Matt to come back to the carriage.
Matt quickly replied, “Not long enough apparently, It has been four years to be exact Slit. What is it that you want? I have my little niece with me and we need to get back on the road soon if we want to make it to the capital on time.”
Slit said “Oh, so it's straight to the point is it? Well as they say, you can’t keep a monkey dangling by its tail on a tree right… So here’s the deal, you owe me a new gladiator.”
Matt quickly noticed that there were two men coming up behind the carriage and there were three more men standing in front of the carriage with their one hand resting on their gunholstet that sat on their belts. They wore the same clothes as Slit but they were more torn through. There was the sound of footsteps that surrounded Matt and he quickly looked around to see four men, there was one man in every corner with torn clothes. One of their hands rested on their gun holsters as they watched Matt intently. He quickly lifted his shirt slightly and put it back down behind what he was hiding under his shirt.
He then asked “I don’t know what you mean but I paid all my debts off. What do you mean?”
Slit said with an even wider grin, “You know what I mean Jaff.”
Suddenly, the two men grabbed Ash from the carriage, and one man had his arms wrapped around her waist as he lifted her into the air, pulling her off of the carriage. Matt was about to run towards them but didn’t when the four men surrounding him pulled out their guns and aimed them at him with the safety trigger off.
Ash screamed in fear as she struggled to get free from the man that had his arms wrapped around her waist, his broad muscles tightened as she struggled, “Matt! Matt! No, let me go! Matt!”
Matt quickly said “Please let her go, she has nothing to do with this.”
Slit's smile quickly disappeared as he said “Oh but she does.”
He put his hand up for a moment, he then put his arm down after the men that were carrying Ash away immediately stopped, they stood still as tears streamed down her face in fear of what was going to happen.
He then continued “What happens when you kill one of my gladiators. I lost my chance to go to the finals in the championship. Do you know what happens when a person kills my gladiator Matt? Hmm?”
Matt slowly answered in fear and disgust, “You kill whoever that person cares about and sometimes you kill them.”
Slit quickly pulled out a knife from underneath his shirt from behind his back. His smile returned as he waved the knife around like it was a new toy that he got for his birthday.
“You are smarter than the others Matt, did you know that?” Slit said as he walked closer to Matt, he continued “You know what… I like you Matt. You have a pretty nease you know, I like her. I am going to give you a deal… you can take the deal or leave it.”
Matt asked nervously, “What kind of deal?”
Slit grin grew even wider as he replied, “You can give me your niece and I will let you go or there is the second choice…”
Before he could finish Matt interrupted him and with disgust, “I would never make any deal with you even if it saved my life. I know you are going to kill me even if I do make a deal with you, so why don’t you just get it over with and kill me already.”
Matt slowly grabbed his gun tightly as he waited for Slit to make his move, fear filled him as he thought about Ash and what would happen to her if he didn’t make it through the ordeal.
Slit said in an annoyed voice “Very well.”
Slit then nodded his head up and down to his men that had Ash, the two men carried Ash a way in an instant. The sound of Ash’s screams filled the air as she was put into another carriage that was sitting up a ways in the road. Matt stood in silence as tears streamed down his face as he watched them disappear behind the trees.
“Do you have any last words?” Slit asked as he put his knife up to Matt's throat as he walked up to him in an instant.
His face was inches from Matt's face, the overwhelming feeling of being uncomfortable filled him in an instant.
Matt slowly replied with a slight grin, “Yes, I do know actually… I have three words for you.”
He asked Matt with curiosity, “Oh and what’s that?”
Matt said with a satisfied look, “Go to hell.”
“You first.” said Slit in anger as he cut Matts through in an instant without a single hesitation.
Blood poured from the deep cut on his throat as he fell to the ground, on his knees. He choked on his blood that flooded his throat in pain as he slowly closed his eyes and drifted further away to the abyss. Ash quickly stopped screaming as she saw Slit kick Matt to the ground, tears streamed down her face in an instant. As Ash sat in the back seat of the carriage, she watched Slit pull out the gun from his gun holster. Suddenly, in an instant the gun turned into a switchblade knife. Slit walked towards the carriage that Ash was sitting in and hopped into the driver's seat. The horses snorted as he whipped them with a leather whip and the horses immediately started moving. The vibrations of the dirt road filled the carriage as they started moving on the road and fear filled Ash quickly as she passed out from shock.
