I don't know what but I have always been fascinated by the idea that there were different planets and dimensions that could be visited but even so we can’t visit them because we don't have the technology to travel to different planets or dimensions yet but we will some day. There is a group of hightech scientists working on that but it will take a long time, I can wait though. I am patient.
“Oh this thing, it's a till or as some people call it a cash register. We got it from a newly discovered planet called earth. Their inhabitants are very resourceful and they gave our planet three hundred of them, luckily we were able to get this one half price thanks to a friend of mine.” The man said with a hint of joy on his face.
Jeff said with a smile “Well, congrats and thank you very much.”
The man said instantly as Ash and Jeff started to walk away, “No, thank you for coming and helping me out.”
After they walked a good distance away, they stopped in front of a three story building with a sign that read Reapers hotel. Ash and Jeff started for a moment before they walked into the building to see a small lobby with a small concession stand made of African black wood. After a few moments of standing silently, they walked over to the concession stand, there was a small bell with a note that read please ring for service.
Ash said in confusion, “There is something off about this town but I don't know what it is, it just feels off.”
“I know what you mean, It seems like something is going on here, do you want to investigate?” Jeff asked in understanding.
Ash smiled as she replied “That is a great idea but let's wait until tomorrow to investigate.”
Jeff nodded his head yes as he rang the small bell that sat near the cash register, after a few minutes of waiting a young man came out of one of the doorways of one of the rooms and walked over to the concession stand. He opened up a large book that sat next to him while picking up a black, sharp tip pen and he covered his hand that held the pen over the book.
The man asked “Hello, sary about the wait, are you checking in?”
Instantly, Ash replied “Yea, we need a room with two beds.”
The man quickly scribbled down some notes on the book as he asked “Alrighty, would you like anything else?”
For a moment Ash and Jeff looked at each other in confusion, they quickly shook her head from side to side before looking at the man, they replied “No that is all we need.
The man smiled as he said “Alright, let me just get the key to your room.”
He quickly reached down under the concession desk and pulled out a small key with the room A twenty engraved on it. Jeff grabbed the key from the man and held the key out with one hand.
The man said as he wrote in the book, “Your room is on the third floor, ten doors down to the right, room A twenty.”
Ash nodded in understanding as she walked over to a small door that led to some stairs, they quickly stopped mid step as they turned to look at the man as he was putting the book away under the concession desk.
Ash asked with curiosity, “Hey what's with the town? I mean it's nice and everything but…”
The man finished Ash’s sentence as he said “It kind of off.”
Ash nodded her head yes as she watched the man's ration, the man fidgets with his fingers frantically for a few seconds before stopping and laying her hands flat on the concession stand.
“I will come up to your room later with a pot of tea and explain everything.” He said through a forced smile.
Ash said as they started walking through the doorway to the stairs, “Alright and thank you.”
