We reached Electros place and he did a full examination on Jeff to see how bad his injuries were. I had no idea that Jeff had a broken arm and a concussion. I know some medical practices but Electro knows more than I do at this point, I am going to bring Jeff into the house so he can relax.

They quickly walked through the front door with exhausted looks on their faces and at that moment Ash was amazed about how beautiful the inside of the house looked. On their right side, there was a large living room with two leather love seats, one couch in the middle of the room with a small brick fireplace that sat in front of the ferniche, inside the wall. To their left was a small kitchen with two sinces, one stove with two ovens, fifteen cabinets and two marvel counters. There was a long hallway with five black doors that spread five feet apart from each other with blue walls.

Ash said in a concerned voice, “Here, let me help you.”

She placed her arm over Jeff's shoulder and he placed his arm over Ash’s shoulder. They slowly walked down to the last door at the end of the hallway,Ash opened the door to a small bedroom with a king sized bed that sat by the south wall in the middle. Ash helped Jeff to the bed and he moaned in pain as he slowly layed down on the bed, she then curved him with the blanket that curved the bed like a bed sheet.

Ash asked with concern, “I am going to help Electro with the horses, are you going to be alright if I leave you alone?”

Jeff replied, “I will be fine Ash, thank you.”

He then closed his eyes and fell asleep from the pain and exhaustion. Slowly, Ash walked tiptoed out of the room while shutting the door from behind her and quickly walked out of the front door of the house. She then went behind the house to see a small barn with the doors wide open. Ash walked up to the barn doors and saw Electro placing each of the horses in a separate stall, she quickly noticed that there were twenty different stalls that were aligned next to each other.

Ash asked “Is there anything that I can help you with?”

Electro replied as he finished placing the last horse in one of the stalls, “Nope, I just finished.”

Ash sighed as she said while looking around the barn from the entrance, “This is a pretty nice place you have here.”

“Yea, it wasn't easy but I built this place from scratch.” said Electro with a slight smile.

Ash smiled as she asked while looking at the man that tortured her, “What about him?”

The man was still chained up onto the horse, Electro replied “I will put him in my bunker for the night. You should go inside and get the fireplace lit, it is going to be a cold one  tonight.”

Ash nodded in understanding, she quickly walked back into the house while Electro pulled the man off of the horse and placed him on his shoulders as if he was carrying an injured person to safety. He quickly walked over to the bunker and opened the double doors, he then walked down the long set of stairs that led deep underground. Once Electro reached the bottom of the steps, he entered a small room with two beds connected to the walls with two chains holding them in place and a small desk that sat in one of the corners of the room with a small chair sitting inches away. Electro quickly pulled a small chair to the middle of the room, he then placed the ban on the chair while tying his ankles and wrists to the chair. Once his ankles and wrists were bound to the chair, Electro untied the chains that wrapped him like a christmas tree. He then exited the cellar while closing the double reinforced steel doors behind him and latching the door so he couldn’t escape. Electro then went into the house to see Ash sitting on the couch with the fireplace lit, the heat from the fire wormed the room as Electro walked over to one of the loveseats and sat down.

Electro asked in a concerned voice, “Are you ok?”

Ash quickly said, “I’m fine.”

“I know you are putting up a front Ash. Come on, talk to me Ash.” Electro said while looking at her with concern.

Ash sighed as she said while staring at the floor, “I… I waited for an opportunity to take that man down when I could have stopped him from hurting Jeff. I didn’t help him at all and it is eating me up Electro.”

Electro said “Ash, look at me.”

For a moment Ash didn’t look at Electro, after a few moments she looked at Electro with sad and worried eyes.

Electro said in a calm and reassuring voice, “You did what you had to do in order to save you both and captur him. There is nothing you could have done to save him from what he just went through and I can tell that he trusts you Ash.”

Electro quickly got up from the love seat and sat next to Ash, he then hugged her tightly as she hugged him back. The warm embrace filled them as they hugged for a few more moments before releasing each other from their embrace.

Ash asked “Did I… Did I ever tell you about what happened to me when I was realy young, before I met anyone from the ariena?”

Electro replied “No… you never talked about your past. I figured it wasn't my place to ask and we didn’t have any time to talk about those things because we were busy trying to escape.”

“I um… I was about three years old when my mother locked me in a spell that could hide things for a few weeks without food or water. That is as far back as I can remember but that isn’t the worst thing that she did to me, she also beat me a lot of times.” Ash slowly said through a slightly shaky voice.

Electro asked “Where was your father when all of this happened?”

Ash replied, “He left before any of this started and never came back.” There was a moment of silence before she continued, “My mother only hurt me when I wanted to come out when she hid me in that spell of hers and it was only when she had people come over or through parties in the house. After a few months, she beat me over everything that I did and a lot of times it was over the smallest things like not eating all of my food.”

“Shit.” said Electro as he waited for her to continue telling him what she went through.

Ash said in a low voice, “One day it would be a shoe and another day it would be a belt with a metal clasp.

Ash quickly looked down at the ground and said “She had a weird guy come over in the middle of the night, she would drink until she was drunk and even slept with him a lot of times. He would lever at dawn and my mother would let me out of the spell.” Ash smiled as she continued, “There were a few times I would get sick and my mother would nears me back to health, once I was better, we would be back to the same beating that she gave me every day but she would never do it when I got hurt or sick.”

Electro asked “When did your uncole save you from her?”

Ash replied “I was about seven when my uncle came over in the middle of the night and saved me from my mother. I don’t know what happened to my mother but I have her diary though and I have not opened it once.”

“I am sorry Ash… I had no idea.” Electro said.

Ash smiled as she said “Thanks for listening to me.”

Electro smiled back as he said “I am glad that you opened up to me Ash.”

The fire crackled as little embers floated the small chimney and the logs shifted slightly as they sat in silence.
